a chocolate lovers dream....

Image
I think I've died and gone to heaven. Thanks to Amsterdam, somebody really cool there is going to build a "chocolate theme park" based on the story Charlie and the chocolate Factory. i can't tell you how excited I am. This was always one of my favorite movies as a child and I would constantly imagine myself being in the chocolate factory. The theme park is expected to open in two to three years. It's going to have a sweet park, a glass elevator and a huge chocolate fountain. Amsterdam is one of the world's largest cocoa ports so having enough chocolate won't be an issue. I guess the park is estimated to be about 20-30 million US dollars. I hope that the creative brains behind this go ALL OUT and do it RIGHT. I would hate to anticipate a crappy theme park with driplets of chocolate and mediocre staging. www.dechocoladefabriek.nl

my words

Finally... a weekend at home and to make things even better its a 5 day weekend! Wahoo! What is Rouge going to do this weekend? Well besides golfing at San Juan Oaks in Hollister and Cinnabar in San Jose, Neil and I are going to watch some great soccer games (goo Brazil) and try to go to the beach, relax and really wind down from our hectic month of June. I haven't been home in almost 3 weekends and I'm really looking forward to it. The weather here is suppose to be perfect this weekend so I'm thrilled about getting some major play time out in the sun. Tomorrow is the last day of work and I'm starting the day off at a bar at 8am with about 10 of my coworkers. We're going to a bar called Sportspage to catch the Germany-Argentina game. Its going to be lots of fun especially because of lot of my friends at work are Germany fans while I'm going to root for Argentina. I went over to Banana Republic today and it looks like they're having a huge sale. I was piss...

what is next for the US soccer team?

NUREMBERG, Germany -- Now what? (SportsIllustrated.com) The U.S. sent the most talented team in its history to the World Cup, and it barely managed a single point. We can sit here and argue that the Americans drew perhaps the toughest competition it has ever faced, but -- except for one match -- the simple fact is that the U.S. didn't come to play. Talent means nothing if you can't put together a team effort. So let's look to the future while the body is still warm. We've probably seen the last of veterans Kasey Keller , Eddie Lewis , Claudio Reyna , Brian McBride and Eddie Pope . Those are all big cleats to fill. U.S. Soccer has a blueprint to be a legitimate contender by the next World Cup in South Africa, a plan called "Project 2010." Are the players at the U.S.' disposal good enough? Or is it all a pipe dream? Here's what the future may hold... Coach : U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati said after Thursday's crushing 2-1 loss to Ghana t...

Adios Ghana!

Goooo Brazil!! This mornings game was out of sight. Ronaldo set a World Cup record and is now considered the all-time World Cup scoring leader with 15 goals. His goal plus a few others gave Brazil another shut out win against another poor victim. Ghana played their hearts out. I have to admit it was nice for a moment seeing them lose because they beat U.S. however I found myself feeling bad for them. To make matters worst, Ghana played the last 10 minutes of the game with one man down due to another uncalled for Red Card from another idiotic referee.

More evidence that world cup referees this time are terrible!

Click Here for Full Article NUREMBERG, Germany -- The 2006 World Cup has been irrevocably tainted. It happened Sunday night in a second-round game between Portugal and the Netherlands that some will call memorable. Disgrace is a better fit. The Portuguese won 1-0 on a goal by Maniche in the 23rd minute to advance to a quarter-final against England but earned no friends from the time-wasting and sly tricks played by captain Luis Figo and company. It will take years for the Dutch to repair their once-proud reputation for stylish, attacking soccer. The team turned to violence when its skills fell woefully short. If Portugal was the pick-pocket, then the Netherlands was the thug. Or perhaps Dutch defender Khalid Boulahrouz believes slapping an opponent in the face is appropriate behavior? And then there were the referees. No World Cup game in 76 years had featured four red cards. This one did. This game had 16 yellow cards, tying a World Cup record. Russian...

Me and my boys!

Image
I wanted to share some new pics of me and my boys with you guys... enjoy! This pic is classic. Rocco is actually smiling in it and showing his pearly whites. This is now my all time favorite photograph of him. here is one with me along with Rocco and Peezy. I never thought I could love two dogs as much as i do. and i can't leave until I share this pic of Neil and his lil guy Peezy. I never ever thought neil would ever like a weiner dog. He was always the big dog type of guy and kinda made fun of people who had little dogs. now, he's what he used to call "Lame!" I'm constantly rubbing it in his face ;) ok. i'm sure you've had your fill of weiner dogs. ~sweet dreams~ by the way, if you want more go check them out on my fickr site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rougetimes/sets/72157594175483789/show/

maybe next time...

Image
maybe next time the FIFA federation will choose better Refs for the matches. this game was lost because of the refs. I HATE YOU REFS! Did you idiots realize that Ghana outfouled the US team 32-16! AND WE GOT THE PK? ARE YOU JOKING ME? I hate refs. I hate refs. I hate ONE ref in particular and he was the HEAD ref in todays game. I can't believe he is even a FIFA ref! Markus Merk, the dumbass ref is one of Germany's supposed top-rated officials! How can he be Top RATED? He can just go to hell for all I care. Markus Merk? What the hell kind of name is that anyway? Here he is looking like a weak piece of dog doodoo... I mean look at him! I wonder if he is loco! I hope he googles his name and finds my blog. I want YOU, MARKUS, to leave me a message so we can go out and play one v one on a soccer field ANYWHERE. I want to kick your ass and then slap you upside the head. Yes. I'm violent. Not normally but today, I'm capable of hurting you! phew. i need to cool off. Anyways...

How can the US team advance?

Image
Tomorrow is a big day in U.S. world cup history. Can the US go to round 2? Can we shock the world by advancing after one of the world cup's nastiest losses? With only one point after two matches, the United States can't win the group. But it can advance to the second round if any of the following happen: If the USA beats Ghana, and Italy defeats the Czech Republic. If the USA beats Ghana by five or more goals, and Italy ties with the Czech Republic. If the USA beats Ghana by four goals, Italy and the Czech Republic tie, and the U.S. goals total at least three more than the Czechs. If the USA beats Ghana and the Czechs beat Italy, and the combined margins total at least six. Or if the USA beats Ghana, the Czech defeat Italy, the Americans win by five goals and it proves to be at least three more than the Italians. Confused? Sure... Excited? Definately! Basically, not only is the U.S. game important tomorrow but so are the results from the Ghana match against Italy. However one ...

the fever is still going wild...

The clip up there is from a couple of sweet goals that have happened during the last couple of weeks. Henri is bad ass dude. Its in spanish but who cares, all i need is the sweet plays and i'm loving it. Iran plays tomorrow morning. I hope my boys do good and win atleast one game. Goooo Iran. Oley Oley!!!

From left to right (Shane, Gary, ME woohoo, my babe Neil, Nazima and my boy Marty the one man party) ! Thanks for the best time ever guys!

back but barely there

I'm here. I'm back at home from Vegas after being in the most outrageous city on earth. I've never spent a week in a casino so I'm having a hard time adjusting to life in a condo. I can't hear all that well and my ears have a constant ringing tone and I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them. Neil and I walked inside the house today, dropped out stuff off by the doors and both fell on the couch and passed out. I've slept for 4 hours already and I'm still tired. I went to bed super late last night (duh its Vegas) and woke up at 8am to get back to san joser. Don't expect a post today but I will have a major wrap up from my week long hiatus soon. In WORLD cup news, I am loving USA's performance from Saturday. Although I wish the referee would have called less fouls and let the game flow, things were lively. Italians are shocked. Ghana also kicked some major booty. It was nice to see chezck go down after beating the USA 3-nil. Iran... well what can...

Do you need a motivational speaker?

....Well Neil is the man for you! He is now officially one of the speakers in the All American network. Please check out his rates and bio at http://www.allamericanspeakers.com/newspeakerbio/3748/index.php If you say you read this on rougetimes.com, you may get a discount because... well I can pursuade him to give it. Happy Friday. Ro

It's here...

I am assuming most of the readers of rougetimes will get this Friday June 9th... the First day of the World Cup! The first game is Germany vs Poland and I will be at Naazi's house watching the game first thing in the morning. This game is important because I really want Germany to lose. I don't like their fans or their team much... they also seem really prejiduce, that's my opinion anyway. This weekend is going to ROCK. Sunday is Iran vs Mexico. I'm having a big party at my house and I'm going to be serving breakfast during the 9am game. My family will be all here by 8am so that we can be settled and ready to roll when the game whistle blows... shortly thereafter, I leave for Las Vegas. Neil and I are going there for a week. I'll be working for most of the week at eBay live but once that's over it's on like King Kong. Its going to be wierd working in Vegas. I have always gone there to get WASTED and nothing else... it'll be interesting seeing the nig...

there are 2 types of people. Those who like dogs and those who don't. I'm a dog lover extreme. My boys Rocco and Peezy are like my kids. I love them and spoil them rotten. With that said, a lot of my friends have recently faced tragic loss of a dog. Most recently Neil's friend Carlos. Somehow one of his little minicher pinchers ran out of the house... she was missing for 3 days and they found her yesterday on the side of a road, dead after being hit by a car. I was so sad for Carlos after I heard. I got home and grabbed my dogs and really felt that I would die if anything happened to them... So Neil and I went to the petstore and got Carlos a sweet card that Neil gave him today. Its amazing how you can grow to love an animal that can't even speak your language. Just the body language and looks speak a thousand words. While we were at the Pet Store, we came across the dog hotel in the new Petsmart by our house. We decided to leave Rocco and Peezy there while we'...

in 20 years...

Image
Don't you ever wonder what you'll look like in 20+ years? I always try to figure it out but I never did this good of a job. This weeks' US and also Popsugar.com had the best side-by-side comparison of what some stars could possibly look like when they get older... are you scared now? I'm probably going to stay away from trying to do this little face test with myself... if i were to do it I might get scared... have a good one!

The Eagles and The FullBack position

Image
Since we are just months away from NFL time, I thought I'd share this article just released on Josh and his play with Eagles this year. Things are looking good and according to Neil, Josh has never been this confident about a season as he is about this year. The pic to the right is of Josh and his boy Aiden. Aiden is turning 3 this year and will hopefully soon realize his daddy is a NFL baller. Enjoy the article and there will be plenty more to come... ************** By: Bob Brookover >>link to article Fullback, for the most part, lost most of its pizzazz a long time ago in the NFL. Human wrecking balls paid to crash through holes to clear a path for others have replaced the Larry Csonkas of the world. Like most things that have to do with the running game, Eagles coach Andy Reid has taken this to a seldom-used extreme. Since the 2002 season, the Eagles have handed the ball to the fullback exactly two times. Josh Parry, the Eagles' fullback for most of the last two s...

Paris Hilton... WOW.

So I just came across this video of good ole Paris Hilton. I could try and talk shit but you know what I sincerely feel bad for her. She was never taught how to dance... and to make matters worste she was taped dancing yesterday! THIS girl has 2 left feet. I mean, how do you obtain fame with moves like this? J-Lo and Paris need to get together and someone should tell Paris that she can't release her CD until she gets some new moves... check this out: Enjoy people. Things like this only happen ONCE!

World Cup Players to watch: USA's Landon Donovan

Image
I was going to start updating Rougetimes with a few key players that everyone should watch during the world cup games. I love soccer and hopefully you will watch some of the games and recognize a few people I told you about: Here is #1: My man, Landon Donovan. oley oley oley.... ;) This is one guy you won't want to miss. Landon Donovan is a bad ass on the soccer field. He's fast, quick with his moves and has the ability to aim the ball within inches of his target. He actually was a Bay Area favorite when he played on the San Jose Earthquakes. We lost him a couple of years ago to Europe but he came back but played for the Galaxy. Now there is no more team in San Jose so I think he made a great move. I actually saw him at a bar by my house once. He was there with his girlfriend. Just laying back, having a beer. NO ONE.. Not one person noticed him. well except for me but he blended in pretty well and it just goes to show you how DUMB American's are when it comes to soccer. He ...

Tracy Morgan and more...

So I saw Tracy Morgan last weekend. OH MY GOD! IT was insane to say the least. First and foremost, he was surprisingly short.. about 5'4. Cute, stocky and really nasty. He admits it. He's a nasty mutha fucka, plain and simple. Basically about half the audience was disgusted by his jokes, so disgusted that people started walking out only 30 minutes into the SHOW! it was hilarious though. One girl screamed out ASSHOLE as she was leaving. Tracy was shocked. The audience was shocked. He totally made fun of her... Saying..."You don't go to a comedy show with an attitude!" We were sitting in the 2nd row. We had 2 sets of black woman in their 40's and 50's. They left. we had a couple to our left, the guy laughed the girl had the most pissed off looking expression on her face the entire show, then to our right sat a 4 guys and 2 girls. The 2 girls got up and said they were going to the bathroom. They never came back. The guys were liking the show so I guess they j...
