Straight from the IRS.gov website. In case you're wondering where you're lovely 'Economic Stimulus' package is, its all based on your social security number. Here are the official details. From IRS.gov: Economic stimulus payments will be issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number. For joint filers, the payments will go out based on the person listed first on the return. Payments will be made by either direct deposit or paper check, consistent with how people filed their 2007 tax return. People who use direct deposit also will be among the first to receive the payments starting April 28. Direct deposits will be made daily and completed by the date listed below: DIRECT DEPOSIT Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than: 00 through 20 May 2 21 through 75 May 9 76 through 99 May 16 Paper checks will also go out based on Social Security number. Tick Tock Tick Tock... Madonna's new album Hard Candy was fully released today and I must say, I am impressed. I was a little skeptical because the song "4 minutes" took a while to grow on me but now I love it and love almost all the tracks on her new album. The other tracks on the album are really cool, catchy and just fun! It's been a while since I've heard a nice pop album with lots of bouncy beats, just perfect for a sunny summer day. The beats are very-Timbalan'esque (just made up that word) which is cool because Madonna has yet to mix it up with him. I mean, seriously, I never thought a nearly 50 year old could bring it like this and she brought it HARD. If you like to dance and you want a new CD to pump you up, LISTEN TO THIS. It's delicious. After a 2 month grocery shopping hiatus, nini and I got back in the game by hitting up Safeway and blowing away mega bucks re-stocking the fridge and pantry with all of our favorite foods. If you're looking for a new artist who's got soul, got beats and is just plain awesome, Estelle is your girl. This UK newbie is a cross between Lauryn Hill and Amy 'crackhouse' Winehouse so if any of their songs satisfy your ears, then Estelle will blow you away. I typically love albums that play around with genres and beats, making each song sound unique. Estella has soul but some of her tracks bring in some reggae fusion into them and if you know me, you know that's a seller for muah. I think she will be big and become a hit making machine in the US. Happy Friday people. Yes its that ever so wonderful day that always makes me feel like a kid who just heard the bells of the ice cream truck, EXCITED. I love Fridays very much, whether it is just spending the evening at home with my honey and doggies or going out with family/friends. Its all good. This weekend is extra special because the forecast has nothing but SUN in it. woo woo. Just look at the Bay Are forecast: It has been sorta chilly the past week so this weather is well deserved and past-due. My sis is always tan because LA is having a sunny spring. Wow, how did Carly get kicked off of American Idol last night? I mean, someone, please tell me how something like that could happen when there are crappier singers left in the competition?? I was at a family b-day dinner last night when my friend sent me a text with Guess Who's Gone? I didn't want to know but I thought I might as well have her give me the daunting news. When she said Carly, I had to check the message twice. I looked over at Neil and said, CARLY got voted off. R u freaking kidding me? Tonight is Game 7 and its a big one. Npeezy and I have been following the games pretty closely lately and since the Warriors are no longer playoff hopefuls, we've switched gears to hockey. I recently realized hockey is VERY much like soccer and as a lifelong soccer player/lover, it is nice to have something so near and dear to my home that I can watch and follow. The other day I was driving home from having picked up Peezy from his 2nd operation and it happened to be on the evening of Game 5 which was held in San Jose. I was anxious because I had Peezy on my lap while driving and he's crying non-stop because his leg hurts bad from the surgery. From the corner of my eye I saw 2 guys in Calgary jerseys (the Sharks opponent) and I don't know what happened to me but I snapped and honked my horn at them and gave them a thumbs down sign. As I did that, I hit a bump in the road, peezy fell over and it was all bad. I guess the competitor in me just HAD to say something :) Shark...
