LJ had his 4 month checkup last Friday and although we were excited to see the doctor, I think he was a bit pissed that he had to get 2 shots. Overall the visit was good and our boy measured pretty standard across the board for his height, weight etc. He also started doing a couple of cool new things this week. Besides rolling over, he can now grab his feet with his own hands. Its so cute. We also gave him 1 teaspoon of organic baby cereal on Monday and he hated it. I think that'll be a work in progress. Here are his 4 month Stats: 26 inches: Length = between percentile 75 and 90 18.5 lbs Weight = between percentile 90 and 95 45 cm Head Circumference = above percentile 95 So I had to share this picture of LJ below. One day last year, I was out with my bestie Alana and her daughter when she brought out a bag of a snack called "Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts". I thought, oh that looks interesting. I took a bite and said "Oh wow, neil is gonna love these!!". I said that mostly because neil is in love with frozen yogurts (tart-only), especially pomegranate and other fruity flavors. Me, I'm a big fan of plain yogurt. that's it. nothing fancy... not even the frozen yogurt. I like regular old fashion PLAIN yogurt... That is, until now!! So, back to my story...I told neil about this new thing I saw and we were at babiesRus and ended up buying 1 pouch. They are pretty expensive for the small amount you get ($3/bag). He ate them and as predicted loved them too. What I didn't expect is for ME to fall in love with them too!!! I am ADDICTED. And I call it an addiction because they don't run cheap. Online retailers have so much demand that they have jacked up the price BIG ...

Our baby boo is turning 4 months old! WOW. This is an exciting day because our baby is growing like a weed and learning new and fun skills everyday. Our little gurgling, drooling, razzing, rolling, laughing, smiling, jumping little bundle of joy has been keeping his mommy and daddy real busy. He went to his first birthday party for his cousin BRILEY last Saturday. The bday party was fun but he wasn't able to indulge in the cake like everyone else did. I know he wanted some too! He also tried a small insy binsy taste of his grandma's persian food over the weekend. He loved it and cried whenever my mom stopped giving him the sauce from the dish. Aunti Jo Jo also had the pleasure of babysitting for Leonidus on Sunday night while his mommy and daddy went to play with friends. Aunti Jo and Grandma (mamanijoon) gave LJ a bath, played with him tons and then put him to bed just in time for us to get him. I must say these past 4 months have been amazing. It has been one year today since I found out I was pregnant. Its a pretty special day because my life changed forever and forthebetter on this day. I am still in shock that I am a mom, a wife and have an incredible baby boy. 2008 was the year of surprises for me and on Feb 12th I was surprised beyond belief when I took not one, not two but three pregnancy tests. I know I will never forget the moment that i found out, the rush of feelings that went through my body were indescribable and the excitement I felt was a feeling I wanted to share with the world. Our little bundle of JOY rolled over for the first time on Monday. I was at work and got an exciting text message from Neil letting me know that Leonidus rolled from back to tummy for the first time. This is a very exciting FIRST for us and it seems to be a favorite for LJ too because he squels out of excitement every time he rolls! He's such a lil rolly polly!! I have to readjust my mindset and make sure I never leave him unattended on the couch or bed because he seems to want to roll onto his tumtum all the time...This new skill has made playtime a ton more fun. LJ also has the urge to stand so I hope that means crawling isn't too far away. Now we'll just need him to conquer rolling from his tummy back onto his back...

Its Saturday and although the weather was rainy the past few days, I'm excited for the weekend. Last night, I had a girls night out while neil, the greatest hubby on earth, babysat Leonidus and the doggies for the evening. I had a delicious Indian dinner at a restaurant called MINT (near prospect/saratoga) followed by a movie "He's just not that into you". The movie theater was PACKED (sold out) and filled with girls. There were a few random guys in the theater and you could tell they got dragged to go see it. The movie was really cute although it had its cheesy moments. Overall, I am a chickflick lover and rarely get to see them so it was nice to just unwind and not have to overthink the movie plot. In other news, we had kind-of a rough week. Why? well I started work on Monday and our schedules had to be revised to suit my early morning routine. so the week was already a bit on the chaotic side but it got crazy by mid-week... layoffs are only getting worst as we enter a time of our lives thats unfamiliar to everyone... I think we are in a condition much worst than the great depression back in the 30's and I for one am scared but have no choice but to stay optimistic.
