LJ's first Giants Game

Image
Like I said in an earlier post, this weekend was filled with fun outings with family and friends. We especially had a nice day on Saturday where we spend the entire day at the SF ball park to watch the Giants take on the Arizona lame Diamonbacks. LJ was all decked out in his baseball hat and ready to experience his first of many ball games at the gorgeous PacBell park. Our seats were awesome and nicely located under the covering on the first floor right between the 3rd base and home. The Giants were tied with the Diamonbacks 0-0 all the way until the 9th innning. Linsicum was pitching GREAT but the Giants pulled him and replaced him with the closer. That's when we ended up losing 0-2. Boooooo... This was LJ's second sporting event (first one was a Sharks game) so we also decided to buy some Giants merchandise at the game. LJ got his first Giants tee and so did his mommy and daddy!! Here are some photo's from our day: Daddy and LJ (in the EB) heading into the park In the par...

Artists at work today...Kenny Loggins and Melanie Fionna

We had a very eventful day so far here at our Rhapsody office.  I met Melanie Fionna, an up and coming R&B artist. She's got a sweet voice and I really enjoyed her performance. Here is a pic of Nuno and I with her in our basement.  You can check out her songs on Rhapsody: http://www.rhapsody.com/melaniefiona We also had one other artist stop by the office today. Who? Well Kenny Loggins of course! For those of you who don't know him, he sang Highway to the dangerzone. Pretty sweet. Here are nuno and I again with ya boy Kenny...Also check him out on Rhapsody:  http://www.rhapsody.com/kennyloggins

I heart weekends!! Hurry up!!

I am so excited for the weekend to get here. The weather is suppose to be in the high 70's, low 80's. I have a jam packed weekend planned, along with a superb date-night Friday night, Family Day at the ball park on Saturday and a soccer game on Sunday. Can it get any better than this?  I don't think so. I am just counting down the hours till tonight's Sharks game and the weekend fever will officially set in.  I'm going to see Collie Buddz tomorrow night in Santa Cruz with my hubby and I swear after having a baby, date nights are just THAT much more amazing. Deep down inside I wish we could take LJ but being in an indoor Reggae concert in Santa Cruz... well let's just say he might be floating due to his highness :)~ lol But we get to take our bambino to his first Baseball game on Saturday in the CITY to see the SF giants take on the AZ Diamondbacks. It also happens to be Lincecum bobblehead day and he'll be pitching. YES!! It can't get better. Since the w...

Cry it out??

As we enter the 6month phase of Leonidus's existance in our lives, I have come to realize that I am making a big boo boo in parenting. Well our little budly has been sleeping with us pretty much 5 out of 7 nights a week. Its been worst the past week. He's slept with us almost every night. When he sleeps between his mommy and daddy he likes to push right up against mommy, almost to the point where I can't move. If I move him, he cries and gets in a fuss. After hours of research and at-home debates with my hubby, I have decided to go full force onward with trying the Cry-Out method. If I don't do it now, then I'll be a walking zombie and will perhaps get into a car crash on my route to work because I'm so tired and sleep deprived. The plan for this evening... Get Leonidus in his nightly bath (around 7:30pm) Play and Sing and Dance for 20 minutes Feed Him Lay him in his crib (HIS OWN CRIB, Not the one in our room) Walk away Turn on the monitor Let the screaming beg...

LJ's 6 month check up

Image
We recently had LJ's 6 month checkup, a week early because our boo has his first Flu. Probably got it from his mama (aka me) and I feel just awful about it. Our lil dude has a runny nose, sore throat and a cough that sounds sooo cute that I smile every time I hear it. The doc looked him over and everything is fine and they can't do much for a cold so we're just gonna have to let time heal it. We got LJ's 6 month vaccinations and he cried (as usual) but not as much this time. We also got his latest measurements and he's pretty much still in the mid 90's. Guess that's an A so I'm happy. Here are his 6 month stats: 29 inches: Length = above percentile 95 21 lbs Weight = in percentile 90 18 in Head Circumference = in percentile 90 He grew a whopping 3 inches over the past 2 months which is great because he looks a bit leaner. His weight gain was also about 3 lbs. Not bad for our little tyke. We are also going to start taking Leonidus to classes where he ca...
