GREAT NEWS!!
Peezy, the lil guy is going to be great. I know my post was a total bummer yesterday and I was sooo upset to even have to go there but I have great news. Lastnight around 6ish, my friend Kelly and I took Peezy over to the vet to get checked out by the optomologist. We actually had 2 doctors take a look at Peezy and after a thorough analysis it was determined that he was savable. His eyes did need some work. I was shocked when they wanted to perform surgery on him right then and there. So I called daddy neil and told him and he was siked. Kelly and I gave the docs a Green Light and Peezy was on his way to get his eyelids stiched upward. 30 minutes later, Peezy came out with his eye lids in perfect shape (along with some heavy stiches) and the great thing was that his eyelashes were finally out of his eyes!! He's got the most precious eyes ever! I can't even explain to you how cute he is. Neil & Rocco met Kelly and I at the vet but by the time he got there the surgery was over. It was THAT quick!!! There was a concern about the new guys weight. Being 1.3 pounds is extremely small for a puppy, but his eating habits and spunk have relieved me from any worrying.
I called Jouvan as soon as we got out to tell her the good news. She was really worried and she hadn't even met Peezy yet. What a bomb ass AUNT! As soon as we brought Peezy home things were completely different. Peezy slept for an hour or two but after that he was all game... chasing Rocco, biting me like crazy. Basically I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Hopefully the stiches do their thing and allow for his eyelids to grow outward. The vets didn't have a head piece small enough for Peezy's head so we're going to have to make sure he doen't naw off the stiches.
