36 holes of golf and counting...
It's monday and I'm sooo tired. I feel like today needs to be Friday. I'm worn out because I went running on Friday, played 36 holes of Golf on Saturday, and topped it all off with soccer game on Sunday. I also drank this weekend on top of conducting all these activities so I'm just beat like an omelet.
After Friday's disasterous picninc, things took a turn for the better. Neil and I were anticipating hitting up a new golf course in Stockton called the Reserve. It was perfect. We left the house at 8am. Go there just early enough to hit some balls. Then played 36holes of golf in one day for the first time in my life. For some, golf looks easy... merely a sport in some peoples eyes but try to play 36 holes of it and you'll be dead tired. We had so much fun, the sun was out, the weather was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Later that night we went and met up with Alana, Scott, Gordo and his new girlfriend for some drinks at the ole Ale House. I passed out at 3 am on the couch only to wake up at 1pm the next day! Yay for sleep. I got up, ate lunch and got ready for my game. One thing I had forgotten to do was drink my daily latte. I don't know why but I left the house to go to my game WITHOUT any caffeine. I don't know what the heck I was thinking but I sure paid for it on the field. I had a game with one of my two soccer teams. This game was with my all-girls team called Tangueray. We're green and we're tasty. We're also 1-0. I started, not knowning how I'd hold up and to my shock I scored 2 goals. I think I scored one last goal about 2 minutes before the buzzer BUT let me tell ya, I spent a lot of the time on the sidelines during the game.. huffing and puffin and wonderfing WHERE MY ENERGY WAS!! I ususally drink a latte in the morning and a red bull by the afternoon and Today I didn't do anything. How lame was that? We ended up beating the team 5-3 and it was a glorious game. Good job GIRLS!!
I got home, showered and chilled. Ate like a quadruple latte and Neil and I had a date at the movies. Since hollywood has had the slowest month for movies, we had very few choices. We decided on Inside Man. Good Choice. It was a clever plot with twists and turns like you wouldn't believe. Denzel and Clive Owen are two of my faves so you can't go wrong with those guys in your film. If you're interested in more details , click here.
