i'm scared of my pg&e bill!
Dude, I have had my AC on FULL BLAST for a week straight. Why? Well besides the fact that its been 100 degreez+ this week, it is ridiculously hot and muggy too! We've also resorted to leaving Rocco and Peezy inside the house the past few days because we'd have HOT DOGS not DOGS if we left them out! This weekend was a lot of fun. Most golf courses were paying people to play... neil and i being the crazy golf enthusiasts that we are played both days in record temperatures. I am the darkest little persian now... and screw the golf apparel rules. I wore tank tops and shorts. It was too hott to wear a cotton polo! Forget about it. The courses we played were ghost towns. No one was out. We played fast, we had fun, and most importantly we both did good. I watched some great movies this weekend too... I loved Tsotsi, Something New and I hated Date Movie. DO NOT RENT IT. As for TV programs, Big Brother is back and Neil and I are severly hooked on it. The Big Brother 6 cast is dominati...
Faux Blingin for real....
I have titled this post Faux Blingin' because that's essentially what i do. I love jewelery and I wear it all the time. Necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets. The only problem is that everyone complements me on it and they ask.. how many carats is that...or.. wow, you are a lucky girl! I have to break their hearts and tell them things like "oh that was $11 from afterthoughts..." or i say "You like this ring? $20 at banana republic" I wonder what people think when I say that. Do they think... Damn, she's ghetto. or do they think... Damn, she is faux blingin' and pulls it off! nonetheless, I bring it with my accesories regardless of it being fake. I wish they were real but honestly, I would rather spend my money on other delights. However, I do care about my engagement ring. If and when I get married, I expect real bling real big. My boyfriend knows this and he supports my decision. Maybe that's why I'm not married but too many woman these d...
Finals!!!
After a weekend of non-stop fun, I have had to slam on the breaks and hit the books. Yup, I have a final coming up tonight so I have been studying like mad while hundreds of thousands of people around the world are vacationing in the hot summer sun. pooooooooooooor me! just kidding. its all good. Here are some pictures from my weekend. I had a ton of fun. I went to foo fighters on Friday night. It was such a great concert. The only problem was that the Berkely Theater felt like a hot sauna since the show was sold out and packed! I got rejected at the door because my new camera is considered to be "proffesional" so that is why the picture I posted Friday night was from my camera phone. Whatever.... I'm not a proffesional photographer!!! As we were driving home, we drove past the SJSU library only to find my uncle and about 20 other persians performing a hunger strike for 3 days on behalf of all of the political prisoners of Iran. It was actually pretty cool but I felt b...
foo fighters! Yeay!!
After a long long week, tomorrow is Friday which means good times! First and foremost, I was absolutely shocked when out of nowhere Neil hands me two tickets to the Sold Out Foo Fighters show tomorrow night in Berkely. I love the foo fighter and better yet, I love surprises! I gave him a big kiss and we started googling out seats. The cool thing about this concert is that the Foo Fighters are doing an acoustic tour ( FooFighters.com) so the sound of the music will be very real and intimate. nicely done babe! Another event we've got in store for the weekend is the Giants/Phillies game on Sunday. The tickets were free (yay!) and the seats are killer. Third Base, about 20 rows up. Helloo Barry. i have to go now and get more work done. Not only is work super duper busy these next couple of weeks but I have a final and a presentation due Tuesday. That means lots of late nighters and no time for the gym. Its funny how the gym is the first to go huh? Weight watchers will have to wait ...
I cannot believe yesterday's World Cup Game!
Tremendous Italy proved the World that they are the best team in the world. How could such a team advance? Their Defense. As a soccer player for over 20 years I know how games are played and I know how they are won. Offense does a lot but a solid defense will take you to the championships. Italy's goal keeper Gianluigi Buffon has been unstoppable. Besides an Italy own goal (against USA) and a Penalty shot goal by psycho Zidane, he has stopped every goal in the tournament. Apparently, Buffon went 460 minutes without allowing a goal which also sets a record as the fourth longest streak in WC tournament history. Other italian players that I enjoyed watching were guys like Materazzi, who never gave up and worked hard every game. Even despite Zidane headbutting the poor guy in the chest, he walked away the bigger person and with a big V for VICTORY. Then there was Fabio Cannavaro, one of the best defenders I've seen. He had so much heart and determination out on the field, regardle...
The weekend is here and i love it...
YEAH FOR THE WEEKEND! It's friday and I'm almost done with work. All I have left to do is go meet my group for some school stuff and I'm ready to get things started. I am heading outta town again my people and this weekend is going to be anything but poopy. Neil and I are headed to Don Pedro lake to play on Josh's new boat. Then we have to head back home that night to play with our boys. Sunday (also knows as the last day of the world cup) will be spent golfing at Wente Vinyards in Livermore while we tivo the match France v Italy. I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend and enjoy JULY!!! LaaliOUT.
the semifinals
Italy and Germany! What a match. Tuesday's semifinal game was intense. The game was heated, there was lots of tension but it was amazing to watch. The referee's are night and day compared to the refs in round 1. I can't wait for today's game France vs Portugal. I'm sad because the world cup is almost over but I am excited for July 9! and if you are at work like me you can watch the game LIVE on ESPN 360: http://broadband.espn.go.com/ivp/splash Peace.
Golfing at San Juan Bautista
It's Saturday. Day 1 of my 4 day weekend and things are glorius. Last night I went and saw Nacho Libre. Ok. Can I just say BEST.Move.Ever.!!! I think I'm going to see it again. God I love Jack Black. BUT let me warn you, some people think its stupid so don't get mad at me if you see it and don't like it. I honestly lost control of my laughter during the movie... It was worth every penny. Now, Saturday was a bit more sporty. Neil and I had arranged a tee time to play golf at San Juan Bautista golf course for Saturday and we were both siked to get out and play. The course was pretty cool. It is a hard-ass course though. Tough holes, thick rough, fast greens, narrow fairways... the works. The weather was perfect. Low 80's. The day was superb. You can click on the photographs below to get the original size view. If you want to see more pictures, go to my f lickr golf slide show. ***enjoy*** This is me. Rouge. I'm sooo ready to play! I came here to win! Me and Neil...
