Faux Blingin for real....
I have titled this post Faux Blingin' because that's essentially what i do. I love jewelery and I wear it all the time. Necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets. The only problem is that everyone complements me on it and they ask.. how many carats is that...or.. wow, you are a lucky girl!
I have to break their hearts and tell them things like "oh that was $11 from afterthoughts..." or i say "You like this ring? $20 at banana republic"
I wonder what people think when I say that. Do they think... Damn, she's ghetto. or do they think... Damn, she is faux blingin' and pulls it off!
nonetheless, I bring it with my accesories regardless of it being fake. I wish they were real but honestly, I would rather spend my money on other delights. However, I do care about my engagement ring. If and when I get married, I expect real bling real big. My boyfriend knows this and he supports my decision. Maybe that's why I'm not married but too many woman these days are settling for measely 1 carat rings that are dull and not up-to-par with the 4 C's of diamonds. Some of my girlfriends have beautiful rings.... but what do you do when you have a friend who loves her ring and you think its hideous?
oh man, i've been in that type of a situation far too many times. Just remember, when I get engaged, and I have a ring... if you don't like it, be honest. I've always wanted to slap someone like zha zha gabore slapped the cop.
