mellow yellow
i had a fairly mellow and relaxing weekend therefore my Monday has been full of energy. Friday night I had my cousin Elliott, Amanda his girlfriend and a couple of other buddies over for some fun recreational activities. Saturday was my 5 year anniversary with Neil. We couldn't do much because he had to work from 4-8 at a BBQ for an event. I was greeted with a beautiful boquet of flowers and then we went to my favorite place in the world, THE MALL for some major shopping. We did some damage, both of us. Neil may not look like it but he gets into shopping when the timing is right.
Later that night we went on a double date with Jenn and Carlos and played some put-put golf and then later watched "Grandma's boy" together while our boys Rocco, Peezy and their boy PA-Chuco played.
Sunday was cool too. more relaxing... then I went to Jana's Lingerie shower which was being hosted by her best friend Robin. The gifts were really awesome... she now owns more lingerie then there are days in a month! As Jana opened gifts, everyone told a little story about Jana and some of them were really cute. I headed home and wrapped up my Sunday and got everything ready for my week. I can't wait until her bachelorette party!
In nasty news, I woke up Saturday covered in flea bites. I think Rocco and Peezy got it from the dog park. ANYWAYS, I bought all kinds of flea killers and turned the house upside down finding those little monsters. I killed every last one, cleaned the sheets and trying to heal my little bites. I can't believe those scroundels got a piece of me. I feel so violated! First ticks now fleas. What next, WEST NILE! Bring it on. rarr.
Next weekend is labor day and there are a lot of great things taking place. FIRST AND FOREMOST, jouvan is coming to visit with her baby Shiya! Yeah! Saturday we've got a day of fun planned and it starts at Burke Williams Spa. My mom, Naazi Nina, Jo and I all have a massage and then we're going to go out afterwards. Washington also plays SJSU that same day (in Washinton) in their season opener so I have to have my ear to the radio listening to Neil do the color on the game. Go SPARTANS!
I gotta get back to work. I'll post more later. I've got a craZy week coming up!
