Reggae.On.The.River.2006
I just got back from spending 4 days in humbolt county at Reggae on the River. We left at 5am Thursday morning. Moshgan, Sharon, Naghmeh and I got to the river in record time. Unpacked and moved rocks for about 3 hours. The rest... the rest is beautiful. I have never relaxed so much in a weekend as I did this weekend. Our campsite was perfect. We were right on the river's edge and up on the hill was the concert area. So no matter where we were, we heard all the live music by our site. Jo, elliott, neil, arzhang and my mom all headed up later that day so the campsite was all ready for them upon arrival. We did all the hard work but we didn't care. My mom had most of the goodies with her!
As always, I am now back from Reggae and I am at peace. The people were so so nice, the vibe was so peaceful, the ambiance was absolutely spectacular. No drama no nothing. it was pure bliss. I have been going to reggae on the river for 13 years and it gets better and better each time. My family, friends and I loved every moment of it. There are some hilarious stories but what happens on the River stays at the River. I'm sure you all respect that ;)
This year was also Neil and Elliott's first time attending this ever so wonderful 4-day concert. Although the port-o-potties are hard to get used to, they loved it. Jo, me elliott and neil headed back on Sunday. It was sad leaving but I knew we'd be back next year and I was kinda ready to shower. I hadn't showered since Wed!! Ew yuck.
If you are interested, here are some pictures from my ROTR weekend. I am staying in and recooperating today so if you are looking for me, i'll get back to you in a bit.
