Eagles trade Josh Parry over to the Seahawks
From one bird to another, these are the days of our lives.
I think i should explain my last post. I had to let things sink in today before I went into much detail. Today was a random ass day. Neil was off in seattle doing the SJSU-Washington game. I was home in bed with my boys this morning when I get a call.
"Ro, the eagles traded josh to the Seahawks for a 7th round draft pick!"
I couldn't believe it. I was sure that Josh had the fullback position on LOCK-down with the Eagles squad.... but that goes to show you how naive I can be. You can never count on the Eagles or anyother NFL team when it comes to job security. So Josh is to report to Seattle first thing Sunday morning. It's all a bit wierd. First and foremost, Neil and I have a ton of eagles gear, even our dog has an Eagles collar and leash! So now we gotta throw them out and start over with seahawks gear. Secondly, I really enjoyed being an Eagles fan. They had a sweet ass Fight song, a great stadium... amazing fans. whatever. The only downfall was that they were far and were in the same division (NFC east) as the Cowboys, who happen to be my boys. The Eagles cut Josh and about 17 other players today (Hank Fraley, Matt Ware, Dexter Wynn just to name a few).
Pro's to Josh being on the Seattle Seahawks:
1. They are an hour flight away
2. They are in the NFC west which means they play the niners and will be in the bay area a lot.
3. They got Shaun Alexander!! He's sick!
4. They just went to the superbowl
5. The city seattle is pretty sweet
6. i can't think of anymore right now...
OK. I gotta go. I had a crazy busy day and I'll write more later. Peace.Love. Screw the Eagles.
