Demolition and more...
Weekend Update:
Saturday was anything but relaxing...
I got up at 8am. ON A WEEKEND. not cool. Carlos (Neil's Buddy), Neil and I helped my workers remove the old cabinets out of my place for most of the morning and that took a while. My new appliances arrived shortly thereafter and they were amazing! I love my new refridgerator. It's sick. Anyways, I had to quickly transfer all my stuff out of the old fridge into the new one before my other buddy came to pick up my old appliances. When my friend pulled up with a truck to take my old appliances, I heard a loud ass meow. I didn't know where it was coming from but the meowing was loud and could be heard across the street and it only kept getting louder and louder. It was really wierd!
I went over to his truck and there was a cat stuck under the truck. It had been there as he was driving on the highway and through san jose. Poor thing! In the midst of all the craziness, I had to try to pry this cat out of the trucks axle. I didnt remember if cats liked meat or not but I tried to convince her to come out with pastrami. It didn't work. Finally 15 minutes later she decided she trusted me enough to come to me. I got the cat named Sassy out and called the phone number on the tag. No one answered. I kept calling and calling but no one picked up.
I took the cat inside the house and the dogs were going crazy. I had to keep them out while I called "Animal Control". Peezy looked like he was gonna break through the sliding glass door, that's how bad he wanted to get the cat!
Keep in mind that the SJSU game started at 3pm and it was 1:30! I hadn't showered and Neil's dad & his buddy were on their way down from Sonora to go to the game with me. Animal Control told me to bring the cat in. I was irritated but couldn't possibly just leave the cat out in the streets. So I got in my car, covered in white cat hair, and took the little cutie and dropped her off. I got back home, helped out my workers a little bit more in the kitchen and headed to Spartan Stadium... and that's where SJSU won their 3rd straight home game!
That's right. San Jose State is 3-1 for the first time since like 1987. How cool is that? Dick Tomey is a bad ass coach and I think he was the best thing that happened to San Jose State. The game was exciting and I forgot about how hectic my morning had been.
Later that evening, Neil's dad and his friend Scott came over to my crazy looking condo. It seriously looked like hurricane katrina had come through the house. We got ready and headed out to a private party in downtown that was being thrown by my uncle Malcolm. The party was a fashion show for a new urban/hip hop clothing line. I took 4 tequila shots too many Saturday night and the last thing I remember was dancing to "Electric Avenue" at the Blue Monkey bar. Neil's dad went to his first fashion show and I think they had a great time too. Naazi showed up to the party too and I made her drinks behind the bar. It was awesome. Good times.
Sunday was recovery day for yours truley. Phelipe and his worker came over at 10am and continued their work in my kitchen. I had a hard time recooperating from the night before but I managed to do a little bit around the house. Then my evening wrapped up with a yucky Sunday night football game. I dont know what happened to the Seahawks but somebody needs to slap their defense. Now, I'm headed home soon to go do more work in the kitchen and watch Monday night football followed by the Bachelor season premier. Holla!!!
