SJSU woo woo!!!


As a big time Spartan fan, I wanted to dedicate this post to all those hard working dudes on the team getting ready for Saturday's big BOWL game against New Mexico. I was suppose to be going to the game however due to outrageous airline fares, I opted to stay home and support them from here. Neil is there and so pumped up. He calls me everyday with the coolest/funniest stories and I look forward to hearing about the team. I gave a shout out to Coach Tomey and Neil relayed the message to him. He said hi back. Yea for me!

Tonight make sure to catch Neil and Mike on 1590am KLIV where they will be hosting a live show from a bar in Albuquerque. There will be lots of Spartan fans and the entire team there to represent. The radio program is following the teams pep rally thats suppose to be pretty tight.

What I didn't know about Bowl game contenders was that they get an early Christmas. So far, each player has received 2 huge Nike bags filled with the coolest stuff including sick Nike Sweats and an i-pod. Honestly they deserve it. SJSU has always been the underdog and for the first time in 16 years we can celebrate a bowl game.

Radio Coverage: KLIV (1590 AM, San Jose) originates San Jose State University football broadcasts. Mike Chisholm calls the play-by-play. Neil Parry offers commentary. Air time for the New Mexico Bowl game is 1:00 p.m. (PST). The broadcasts also are available on a subscription basis on www.sjsuspartans.com and Yahoo!Broadcast.


Television Coverage: ESPN will have live play-by-play coverage of the game. Game coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. (PST).

What I recommend is that you watch the game on ESPN but mute it and listen to the game on the radio so you can hear Neil. I highhhhly recommend that you do that. I'll be having people over to watch the game so call my cell if you'd like to join me. Well that's pretty much it. Go Spartans!!

Talk about lucky sons of bitches, if you didn't get a chance to see the Spartan's nearly dominate the Hawaii Rainbow pansies, then you missed one heck of a game. ( picture slideshow courtesy of the SJ Mercury News ) The game began at 5pm and the weather was crap... rain was pouring and the fans were a few... that was until the sun came out and the fans began arriving, reaching to 20,000+ packing the Spartan stadium. ESPN packed the house in the press-box, scouts were hovering around the media stations, trying to find a good seat and stadium workers ran around the stands wiping down seats so people's rears could remain dry. thug night...pack up your eggs baby!

I updated this story.. so if you read it. Reread it. I missed some very important points. ******************************************************************************** What seemed like a normal Tuesday night .. turned out to be quite interesting. First off, I got home lastnight from work before Neil. I was working from home when Neil got home and said let's take the dogs for a walk and grab coffe and go to the grocery store.. Good Ole Zanatto's. We got the dogs dressed and heade d out. After grabbing coffee and groceries, we start heading back home. The walk home is about 3 blocks but we pass many bars and many thugs on our route home. lastnights thug count was out of control. We were walking towards blockbuster/farenheight on San Fernando when we walk past a group of teenagers... about 10 of them. They seemed nice... One of the boys calls Rocco over. Football Widow 2010

Its Football Friday at the Parry House again. For those that don't know, my hubbie is the defensive coordinator for the Sobrato High School Football Team. They are so far 2-1 (Ugh that loss still hurts) and they are ready to play again tonight against Independence High school in San Jose. Here's their entire upcoming schedule The game should be good and if the boys come out to play, they should get the BIG W! Let's go BullDogs! A common terminology used by woman married to men that coach football is that during football season you are a football widow. It is NO JOKE. I thought that football was time consuming when Neil played back at SJSU but NOW, its CRAZY!! Coaching is a very time consuming job, especially if you are super into it like my husband is. Practice M-F afternoon/evening, games friday nights and football planning half the day on a SUNDAY!! With 2 boys at home with me, its super hard because Neil is so tied up with football!!
