Justin Concert Was OFF THE HOOK
As most of you know, last night I went to see Justin Timberlake at the HP Pavilion in San Jose (aka The Shark Tank). Jenni and I got dropped off around 7pm and saw a line that started at the entrance of the arena with over 300 PEOPLE! It kinda sucked because it was freeezing last night but then again, I had a pea coat on. There were girls in Tanks and skirts. Good luck to them. They're probably home today with ammonia!
Anyways, We got in a little later and headed to our seats. We sat in section 128, lower level and the view was perfect. The stage was setup right in the middle and it had 4 sides to it. Our section had a great overall view and we were about 20 rows up. Not bad JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Pink opened up for JT. She was surprisingly good and had a nice voice. Her dancing was off the hook and she sang all the songs I like. She also did some crazy cirque de soleil type tricks which were pretty awesome.
I was excited to see her and all but deep down, I wanted JUSTIN. The stage was set like this right before Justin made his big entrance:
As soon as he came out of the middle of those curtains, the screaming went ballistic. It was soooo loud in the SOLD out arena that me and jenni thought about plugging our grandma ears. The concert was pretty much the most amazing thing ever. Justin danced like crazy, he played the piano, a guitar and a electric keyboard. HE'S sooo talented dude! The best part of the show was when Timberland showed up. JT was going along singing one of his amazing songs and when it was time for Timberland to chyme in, he shows up on STAGE and tears it up! It was sick!!
Timberland also had a 10-15 minute mixing set when he DJ'ed with another dude and he played all of the songs he had helped record (aka Alliyah, Missy, Timberland and Maggo etc) It was the best mix ever. i have to find it on CD.
I was pissed that I didn't have my camera with me. While the tickets read NO CAMERA's. Everyone had their cameras. Another crazy tech moment was when Justin first came out. EVERYONE and their mom (including me) took out their camera phones and started taking pictures. It almost looked like everyone was holding up lighters. Crazy how times change! Justin sang songs from both Justified and his latest LoveSounds. Everything sounded sooooo great. The sound system was very solid and unlike most artists Justin sounds amazing LIVE. If you have any chance to see JT in concert, I highly recommend it. Its a once in a lifetime experience and I can't wait to see him again in concert.
I have one last hope of meeting Justin since I didn't get backstage or anything lastnight, my sister is working on the marketing for JT's new movie "black snake moan". You can add the movie on your myspace: www.myspace.com/blacksnakemoanmovie. Anyways, the premier for the movie is happening sometime in February. If she can get me tix, I'll WALK to LA if I have too. The movie seems really cool from what Jo has told me. You can make up your own mind. Just check out the trailer below. Justin has a fairly small role in it (i think) but who cares, HE'S IN IT TO WIN IT. I also hear alpha dog is a good movie. Look at me, I am a walking advertisement for JT. I love my boyfriend Neil. This is just one of those crushes. I'm actually trying to hook my sis up with JT. aweeeeeeeee.. he'd be my brother in law. How awesome!! Alright, I gotta run. Have a BUSY FUN FILLED weekend ahead.
