Iranian President may be here, My Best Friends in IRAN!!

Image
It has been a strange night tonight. I just got a instant message from one of my most dearest friends Bahareh telling me she's in Iran and she is working that an international business company . She will be in Iran for 2-3 years but loves everything so far. WOW! How incredible does that sound? I am in awe of what she did and think that she will defiantly be a leader in international business for making a sacrifice so different than others. I am just having a hard time picturing the girl I used to cut class with, dye our hair with manic panic with, have sleepovers like crazy with, have straight A's in high school with take on such a fantastic adventure without me!! I have thought about it but I don't think I could do international business just yet. I am absolutely enthralled by the idea of global business marketing and other business initiatives that involve some international correspondences but its hard when you want to do a million things and you have to just pick one....

SJSU - STANFORD game pics (last week)

Image
SJSU is playing right now against the Utah Aggies. I thought I would take this time and post some pictures from the game held last Saturday in Stanford's new (and really fabulous) stadium... It was the first game that I was able to attend this season and the Spartans have yet to have a homegame so it was nice to be able to watch the boys live...even if they got their asses kicked. Last week was also special because it was the first time in ages where the old tailgate crew got to get together and relive the spartan tradition. Mike Beams (with friends), Mike Carr, Scott & Alana (minus Ella), Gino and Jana and your truly were all dressed in spartan getup. Alana and I actually went to the Student Store and were shocked at how many CUTE outfits they have now for college students. I got 2 really cute tops plus a sweater. The tailgate was fun although I had a hard time understanding how the HECK to shotgun a beer. Jana made an amazing pasta dish and there were hotdogs and stuff to kee...

My heart goes out to Kevin Everett and His Family

Before I went to bed last night, Neil and I were watching the NFL game recaps from the day's events when we came across news that gave both of us goose bumps. Kevin Everett, the starting Tight End for the Buffalo Bills was motionless after he went head-on during a kick off return with the opposing team. Everyone stood and watched as the 25 year old lay there not moving. The game was stopped for 20 minutes followed by Everett being rushed to the hospital and into surgery. The prognosis was still unknown last night but today, I just read the horrible news. Kevin may be paralyzed. Its moments like this when you realize how TOUGH and LIFE CHANGING football can be for people at all levels. My heart goes out to Kevin and the Everett family and I hope the BEST in his recovery and wish him all the best. Below is the most recent article published. I am in a state of shock and have this really sad feeling and wish that it could be different. Before I leave, you can watch the play as wel...

New Album Alert - Ben Harper

Image
Last week, Ben Harper released a new album titled 'lifeline'. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the songs were really fun and great for driving and even listening to while you work. The guitar driven songs have a slow beat but not dreary or depressing. This is one of his most mature albums and you can tell by his lyrics. I find myself wanting to sing out load to his songs like "in the colors". Check it out. You won't be disappointed. The albums contains 11 tracks: 1. Fight Outta You - Ben Harper 2. In The Colors - Ben Harper 3. Fool for a Lonesome Train - Ben Harper 4. Needed You Tonight - Ben Harper 5. Having Wings - Ben Harper 6. Say You Will - Ben Harper 7. Younger Than Today - Ben Harper 8. Put It On Me - Ben Harper 9. Heart Of Matters - Ben Harper 10. Paris Sunrise #7 - Ben Harper 11. Lifeline - Ben Harper If you are interested in listening to a sample of the tracks, click on the Rhapsody.com , which will take you directly to the Ben Harper album.

SJSU vs Kansas St

After last week's ass wooping, the spartans better be ready to make it known that last week was a complete fluke. After winning their first bowl game in god knows how long, the Spartans started their season off with a 40 point loss to Arizona State. ASU, led by Dennis Erickson, dominated every aspect of the game. Thankfully I only listened to the game on the radio. The game would have been unbearable to watch live. I am over last week and ready for today's game in Manhattan Kansas. The Spartans got a rude awakening and they are now ready to dominate... here are the details for today's game from SJSUSpartans.com SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL FACT SHEET (GAME #2 – KANSAS STATE) Next game: San Jose State at Kansas State, Saturday, September 8, Bill Snyder Family Stadium, 6:05 p.m. (CDT)/4:05 p.m. (PDT) San Jose State record: 0-1. The Spartans opened the season losing at Arizona State (45-3). Kansas State record: 0-1. The Wildcats lost their season opener at Auburn (2...

Georgia Rule - Movie Review

I recently bought the 'Georgia Rule' DVD because my boyfriend Neil was out of town and I felt like having a chill night with a chic flick. I had no idea what to expect when I began to watch the film. All I Knew about the movie was that Lindsey and director Garry Marshall had a media exploited tiff due to Lindsey's partying habits. Basically the movie is about a mother and daughter who have had a tough relationship from Freshman year of high school until now, the summer before college. Rachel (the daughter played by lindsey lohan) was to spend the summer at her estranged grandmother's house (played by Jane Fonda). Below is a clip from my favorite show 'The Soup' where they make a little funny using the movie trailer. enjoy... The movie was not that good. Honestly, it was nice as a rental and something to fill the void of my man being gone but other than that, it was pretty dry. Lindsey Lohan also looked really ugly in it. Her fake ass tan was all splotchy and ...

Florida State vs Clemson

Image
Florida State @ Clemson Clemson is +4 and I took those odds and placed a little straight wager on the game tonight. The Clemson Tigers will be representing tonights game in the Death Valley and hopefully they beat the Seminoles tonight. Here are some reasons behind my pick: * Clemson dominates the rushing game * Florida State finished the season unranked for the first time in 20 years. * Seminole's QB Drew Weatherford is weak and inconsistent * Clemson has returning Junior tailback James Davis, who led the team with 1,187 yards and 17 TDs!! awe yeah. * The pawprint is sooo cute :) wish me luck. peace. Marsha Marsha Marsha

Labor Day.... Everybody say Yay! It's sunday but the sense of trepidation is non existent because Monday is a HOLIDAY. I went to the mall yesterday with my sis Jo and her boy Ryan. We were looking for dresses and i noticed that the dresses out there for fall are not cute. I'm not saying that ALL of the FALL dresses are weak but just the ones that look like they are from Marsha Brady's closet. Maybe I will get used to them, who knows but right now they are an eye sore. For example, check out this Donna Morgan dress. What the heck! Even Nicole Miller has been caught watching too many Brady Bunch reruns: I hope no one I know has any of these dresses!! Anyways, I got some really good shopping trips this weekend. I hit up the mall by myself on Thursday night and got some really cute outfits for SF's fall weather. I'm so looking forward to the chilly SF weather. It was hard shopping for sweaters when it was 100 degrees outside so I did have to buy a couple of camisoles :...
