Its the Good Life (K.West)
I realize that my posts on RougeTimes have been far less these past few months. I have been consumed with work and school so I have reasons!
School Daze
I graduate in February and its super important that I try to focus on school the next few months and finish with all my goals accomplished. I start Santa Clara Univ. in March (MBA program) so I have a couple of weeks OFF. My awesome daddy has promised me a vacation to Jamaica... That is enough motivation to keep me on track till I land in Kingston or Montego Bay, Jamaica... where I plan on being Irie for a long time; 10 days to be exact... 10 days to recuperate and relax.. aweee... There's not where I'd rather go visit than Jamaica for now so I'm SUPER STOKED!!
Rhapsody Rocks
Other than school, working on Rhapsody has been fun but pretty intense. We have so much going on (with MTV, Verizon and other hush hush shenanigans) and things are moving along fast so while I'm working tons of hours, it doesn't really feel like I am working that much. I hope it doesn't all catch up to me at once so I am trying to find ways to have fun. We also have 2 beers on tap in our kitchen, it helps take the edge off around Beer Thirty (aka 5:30pm).
Thanksgiving Tradition
In other news, My family and I finally finalized our trip to Tahoe this Thankgiving. We decided to go with a bigger cabin, one that is on its own private beach in south lake tahoe. I am sooo siked that we've been able to maintain the tradition for this long. Super cool, I can't wait until we all have kids and they continue it for another lifetime.
The here and now
The weather in San Jose is SUPER hot today, I had no idea it was going to be like this...
I woke up around 9am; the doggies and I went to my dad's house where his gf Nicole, my dad, my sister (and her dogs) all enjoyed a spectacular brunch and then we headed to the farmers market in downtown los gatos. It was a nice way to start my Sunday.
I am now home and the boys are toast and passed out. I'm watching football and dreading cleaning the house. I hope to get inspired by running errands... a little visit to Target always does me good. Neil is out golfing in a tourney so its just me and the boys, boohoo.
On Friday night, Neil and I went to a concert with his family at Ironstone Winery in Murphy, CA. We saw the dude that sings BAD TO THE BONE (George Thoroughgood) and the headliner was Bryan Adams. Ha hahha... Yeah, stop laughing. I already got some shit from all the music lovers at work.
The weather WAS BUTT ASS COLD and after losing feeling in my toes about 3 hours into the concert, we decided to head home, where my toosh and the Cadillac's seat warmer rekindled their relationship, it was orgazmic. Too bad the weather wasn't a tad bit nicer, the concert was actually pretty cool.
Before I leave, I wanted to suggest you take a listen to the new Foo Fighter Album:
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace:
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace by Foo Fighters
My current favorite track on the album is THE PRETENDER but the other tracks come close. The Foo Fighters have stayed true to their style and have been able to release another album that has catchy acoustic rockouts, sweet choruses and an edgy I wanna jump up and down type of feeling. They kick ass. Enjoy.
