lovin' my weekend...
Life has been smooth considering the shaky start (Get it? ha ha) My boy Neil is out of town and just wrapped up doing the radio for SJSU football. The spartans were playing the Boise State bronco's and SJSU got creamed. it was sad.
Me on the other hand, I had my hands full with my cousins Aryana and Cyrus. (see them in the picture with their costumes on? what cuties!)
Lastnight I went to Pedro's to celebrate my Uncle's birthday Arash. Everyone from my family was there (minus my Mom who's in Iran). We ate, we were loud as usual and I asked my aunt if I could take the kids for the night. To be honest, I was scared to sleep alone since Neil was gone and I was afraid another quake would hit. Naazi agreed to the slumber party idea and Cyrus (3) and Aryana (7) were mine for the night. We came to my house and had some dessert, we made a huge bed downstairs in front of the TV and watched spiderman and soon fell asleep. We woke up this morning (bright and early, gotta love kids!) and we had pancakes and then went to the dog park. Shortly thereafter we went to the toy store where the best cousin on earth (Rouge) got both kiddo's a gift before dropping them off home. I had a blast and cannot wait to do this again (and perhaps one day with my own kids).
Now I'm home debating on whether I want to chill or clean house. The cleaner has not come in over 2 months because Neil has been out of a job and doing most of the housework but our condo is in dire need of some deep cleaning. Oye Vey. What do i do?
I am also thinking about scheduling massage appointments for us tomorrow either at Burke Williams or another new place that my friend told me about. A massage sounds spectacular!!!
Halloween was a bit mellow this year. Fortunately our friend Jeni and Carlos were around and we had a delicious dinner at Buca Di Beppo and then we had the four 4-legged beasts hangout over at our place. I wish we got trick-or-treaters! The dinner was good but as always you end up ordering WAYY too much food there. I also had a hair appt on Halloween which was awesome. It's so hard getting appointments with Kien at Umbrella because he's SOOO in-demand. After my hair appt, I tried to make a follow-up appt and he was booked until January 15th! Are u joking? My hair will be wacked out by then so I had to get myself on the waiting list (again!).
Alrighty folks, hope everyone has a pleasant weekend and don't forget to change your clocks tonight at 2am. FALL BACK! Don't SPRING FORWARD!
