Cabo Times

I'm back from my trip to Cabo and just trying to get used to the cold again. Neil and I were invited to my best friend Alana's wedding which was being held in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The wedding was on Saturday but we decided to go up on Thursday to enjoy some time with our friends and hang out in the Sun.

Thursday

We had an early flight out on Thursday and were joined with Scott (the groom) and the 3 of us headed to Cabo together. We started off the trip in the SF airport with a nice n' spicy Bloody Mary at 7am. It was early but it was perfect. The entire flight there I slept but Neil wasn't so lucky. I guess a baby screamed the entire way there but the alcohol had knocked me out.

As soon as we landed in Cabo, The Rainville Rental Suburban arrived to pick up a bunch of guests from the airport. We ran into Lindsey my bestest friend from kansas. It had been 3 years since we had seen eachother and we went crazy!!! She is the coolest chic ever. I also met some of Alana's coworkers and their husbands in the airport. I didn't know that they would turn out to be the nicest and funnest people ever!! Anyways, we all got into the car and drove about 30 minutes to the Hilton Los Cabos hotel. The weather was a warm 85 degrees and remained that way the entire trip. Thursday was fun. As all of the guests gathered in the hotel lobby at 8pm, we all headed over to the Trailer Park for dinner. At this time, all of Scott's family were there as were Alana's. However, the dinner that night was strictly for all the young people. There were 18 of us and at dinner, we got wasted.

Dinner was cool because we got to talk to everyone and put Alana and Scott in the hot seat :) Following dinner, we all went down to the clubs in downtown Cabo. We started the night off at Squid Row which is one of my favorite spots in Cabo. We danced the night away, got molested by jello shot waitresess and saw Roger Clemens and a bunch of other former Yankee baseball players get wasted and have lapdances right next to us! The night was amazing. I got to hang out with my girls Candice and Lindsey and Alana and also got to socialize with some of Scott and Alana's family and friends. The night came to a wind down at 3am and I made it home without visiting the porceilan god (i.e THE TOILET). Thursday was a good night!

Friday:

The next day, Neil and I got up and had some breakfast room service. One of our favorite things to do when we go on trips is have breakfast in the room. Don't ask why buts its just one of those things that we just love to do. After breakfast, Neil had a tee time at Cabo Real Golf Course and I had a date with the ladies Pool Side! This day was the day I didn't fare out too well. I began drinking early by the pool and didn't stop for a long time. Everyone came and went and it was a day of chilling by the pool, listening to music and drinking cocktails. It was perfect. purrr-fect. (picture of one of the pools at the Hilton Hotel below)

Mike Beams and Mike Carr were sharing a room so after spending the day at the pool, they invited me to their hotel room for some alcohol before Alana and Scott's cocktail party at the hotel terrace. Neil was going to be late since he was golfing and I was bored. I hung out there and we drank hard. We headed to the cocktail party and met up with everyone where we drank some more and took tons of fun pictures. The cocktail party was over and all of the youngens ended up back in Mike and Mike's hotel room for more alcohol. Their room turned into a small house party... One which the pictures will do more explaining then myself. (stay tuned...)

Later that evening, the boys all went downtown to give Scott a mini-bachelor party while the girls decided to have dinner at the hotel (supposedly a mellow night). I was toast at that point and could barely keep my eyes open. I ended up staying out and going to dinner and then the hot tub for a couple of hours. As we all went to our rooms and into bed, I went straight to my restroom and hung out there until Neil got home :( me no likie being drunkie. I was so happy once I passed out. It was a painful night.

Saturday
The day of Alana's wedding was a chaotic one. Everyone was fairly hungover and for those that weren't, they were busy helping out with the wedding preparations. I kept it pretty mellow and in the morning just went out poolside and had some R&R with everyone. I had a massage appointment but my body couldn't take it. The wedding was to begin at 4pm so a lot of us girls visited Alana beforehand and I have to say, She Looked Amazing!!! We left her holding back our tears and walked down to the beach where the chairs and ceremony area were set up a few feet away from the ocean. It looked like a fairy tale. Thereafter, we watched Alana & Scott exchange their vows with their beautiful daughter Ella looking at them from the front row. It was perfect. Afterwards, we took a bunch of pictures and then headed up to the terrace overlooking the beach where the tables were all setup for dinner and then dancing. This part of the night was a nerve wracking moment because I was giving a toast at the wedding and was crazy nervous because I hadn't had a chance to prep for it. A bunch of people around my table including my boo helped me come up with a really cute toast. Candice and Lindsey came up there with me for support and it made the toast a lot more special. Once that was over, we danced the night away and ended the evening with an after party on the beach in a cabana. This was also out last night in Cabo so we went to bed around 2am and said good night to Cabo and woke up and left for the airport.

I have to say the entire wedding was magnificent and I had an excellent trip to Cabo. I love destination weddings and encourage everyone to consider having one, especially if you know me :). Congratulations Scott and Alana. I wish you guys the best!!

I will post pictures from my trip in the next coming days. I just thought I would post details from my trip while it was still fresh in my head. I gotta go now and relax and hang out with Neil and the boys, whom we missed terribly while we were gone. Neil and I didn't go a day without saying how much we missed them! God they are my world! Anyways, have a wonderful week and I can't wait for Christmas.
