HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year everyone. 2008 the year of the Ratatouille is going to be great! I just know it!! It'll be great for you too. I have a feeling. 2008 is also a leap year. Crazy. If you're preggers, aim for Feb 29th!!!

The next time the year of the Rat will occur, according to the chinese calendar, is in 2020 so enjoy this one. I will call this year Ratatouille.

There are lots of fun things planned for 2008, the biggest event being that Mars may be struck by an asteroid on January 30th!! Scientist said there's a 1 in 25 chance it may happen. Crazy.

Also, don't forget, the Superbowl will take place on Feb 3rd.

March is also an interesting month. Not only is it PERSIAN new year time, but the Iranian Parliament election takes place on March 18th, 2008.

Another really cool thing for us who live in the Bay Area is March 28th... that is the first day of MLS soccer action and now that the earthquakes are back, we can all enjoy it a little more.

Other sad events that will take place in 2008 are that Bill Gates will retire after three decades of being with Microsoft. WOW. That's insane. The biggest nerd on the planet will no longer be working. I wonder what he'll do with all that spare time.

August 8-24 will be the Summer Olympics which will guarantee some good TV events.

Don't forget my bday is on August 9th. I'll be turning 30 years old so please be ready for las vegas. everyone better go.

Arzhang's favorite day, the presidential election will take place on NOVEMBER 4rth and we will be able to select America's 44th president. Lucky for Arzhang there are no Bush's left. :) Go Hilary!

Ok. one 2008 piece of news for Bay Area residents.. get ready for a HUGE storm to hit on Thursday. Trust me, you'll want this info. Up to 40 mph wind and 2 inches of rain. for more info, read the following link: http://www.mercurynews.com/breakingnews/ci_7858834?nclick_check=1

Last year, I made some New Year resolutions. After looking at what I had written, I think I actually accomplished a few things. Other resolutions were just overlooked but there's always 2008. without further ado, here are my resolutions:

(2) Work less than 50 hours a week (work-life balance)
(3) Graduate (this will be done in February!!)
(4) Begin Masters program at Santa Clara University OR Stanford (whichevers lucky)
(5) Volunteer in charities that help homeless and dogs (and all animals)
(6) Travel: Africa and Europe
(7) Spend time with family and friends
(8) Love Neil, Rocco and Peezy!!

That's all. Peace and Love!!
