Dreams about work...
As I've said in my past few posts, my job has been fairly hectic lately and while the end of this crazy project we're working on with Verizon is almost over, the end seems so far away. I fell asleep at 8:30pm lastnight and when Neil apparently tried to talk to me he told me I was mumbling about phone numbers and other crazy work stuff. He wouldn't understand because half of the shit I said was in acronyms but he still thought it was hilarious. Yeah, its so funny that I work when I'm awake and sleeping.
I didn't get to post anything about my weekend so here goes.
Peezy's Checkup:
I am proud to say that Peezy Parry finally has his cast off and is currently rehabing around the house. Woohoo!! His leg is very small since it was not used for 2 months but he's been on it since Friday and its getting to get back to its normal buff ass self. I swear I catch him smiling every now and then... I think he's thrilled that he's back to normal. Peezy and Rocco's cousins Shya and Gus Gus (my sisters dogs) are coming into town in a couple of weeks and I think Peezy will be ready to get his full-speed toy chasing abilities on by then. This was a rough 2 months and an even harder first 3 weeks so I think both Neil and I are proud of ourselves and of Peezy to have made it through this ordeal with the shit we had to deal with.
Game Night:
Friday night, Alana and Scott hosted a game night at their house where about 8 couples showed up for appetizers, dinner and some major game play. The theme of the night was 'girls vs boys' and let me tell ya, I haven't laughed that hard in ages!! In my opinion, the most fun game of the evening was Pictionary. Event planner Jana brought over these huge poster stickies that were perfect for the game so it was like we were playing a real game on TV!! Each round, one guy and one girl would go up and they both drew the same thing while the boys team and girls team guessed. There were a lot of close calls... actually in all the games and those arguments got heated. Man, I didn't realize how fierce people become when it comes to board games! It was actually hilarious. I don't know how little Ella stayed asleep that night because we were soooooo loud. My face hurt because I laughed so much. All in all the evening was great and a huge thanks to Alana and Scott for having everyone over. I don't think I could have fit that many people in my place.
Saturday Golf Time
After a six month hiatus, Neil and I finally made our way to Los Lagos for 18 holes of golf on what was suppose to be a nice and sunny day. Both of us played fairly decent, I even got a birdie HOWEVER it was cold and windy the entire time! Why is it that the weather is amazing all week long but as soon as the weekend comes around, BAM, wind and cold air dominate our lives? Its just not fair. Maybe we should switch the weekend to have it be on Tuesday and Wednesday. Which also reminds me, don't forget that its daylight savings on Sunday March 9th which means everybody's gotta SPRING FORWARD. What does this mean? Longer days, more hours in the day to golf and more time to get stuff done in the daylight.
Alright, I gotta get going. I stil have to do some online shoe shopping before my train gets to SF.
Have a fantastic rest of the week. I can't wait for the weekend!!
