This and That...

This past memorial weekend was pretty crazy. Crazy uncool. Why do I say that with such unenthusiastic tone? here goes my mini-rant: Here we have 3 days of no work and time off. Whats a girl to do? Well first, most of our family and friends were busy doing stuff and/or out of town. So we thought we'd find something to do around here. With gas prices looming around $4.25 and the weather feeling more like the coming of the ICE AGE and not global warming, our motivation to do much was pretty low. Plus, being pregnant is wierd because one minute you can't wait to get out of the house, then the next you can't wait to get back home It's wierd and I don't think I can explain it any better than that but that's what I was feeling. Usually on weekends like this, we'd plan on doing a fun day activity with the boys. we hate leaving them home on weekends. HOWEVER, since Peezy is still recovering from his 2nd surgery, we couldn't do much of that, especially sinc...

First Earthquakes Game

Image
Nini and I went to our first San Jose Earthquakes soccer game since the team came back to San Jose. The game was a bit different because rather than watch them in their old home field at the Spartan Stadium, we had to go to Santa Clara Universities Buck Shaw stadium to watch them play. The game, which was on Thursday night, was also being aired on ESPN2 and the crowd was all there to cheer on their team and show the nation San Jose has a good soccer fan base. The team played very well and beat Houston and pretty much dominated the whole game. The quakes looked way better than they did at the beginning of the season when they couldn't even get their passing together. After watching lastnight game, we are hooked and plan to go back a lot more... especially to watch the Quakes play the Galaxy on June 15th. If you get a chance, you should go and support the San Jose Earthquakes. I would hate to see them leave us again!

Picture Diary Time!

Image
It has been a while since I've posted any pics from events in my life so here goes: Mothers Day: Even though I'm not a mommy yet, I had a great mothers day. Saturday all the ladies went to Burke Williams for all day spa treatments and Sunday was BBQ time at my Uncle's house Nap Time: Nini and Peezy's favorite thing to do is nap together. Ever since the boys got the boot from our bed, the nap times (aka cuddle sessions) have grown. Here are a couple of pics of Nini and Peezy napping on the dog bed! Baby Parry: I have some ultrasounds from the first trimester that I hadn't posted on Rougetimes yet. I am in my 19th week now so the baby is 10times the size of these pics but its still worth showing. These were the hardest weeks. All that nausea and fatigue killed me. I was like, WHO AM I??? Anyways, its all worth it and now, the 2nd trimester has been amazing and just a lot of fun. Very peaceful. Week 7 Ultrasound: Week 10 Ultrasound: Dad's House for a Sunday BB...

Man U vs Chelsea... penalty shots!

In case you missed today's DAYTIME broadcast of the UEFA championships, then you missed a great game along with me. The game was playing at work but I was stuck in meetings all afternoon and had not a second to catch the score. The game did go into PK's and the outcome was gut wrenching. Here is a 10 minute clip of the PK shootout: I really wish that soccer games were broadcasted in normal times like other American sports. It makes being a fan so much easier...

Bump Day by Baskin-Robbins

Image
My sister Jo just sent me this online ad for expectant mothers. It's a nice gesture (aka marketing move) on Baskin Robbin's part to make friends with a potential client... PREGGERS who are craving ice cream... In honor of preggers everywhere, Baskin Robbin's has declared Wed May 21st to be Bump day and is offering women (and men) with bumps free ice cream: if you're interested, visit http://www.baskinrobbins.com/spotlight/bumpday.aspx

it's a boy!!

I am happy to announce that Baby Parry is going to be a boy! I went to the doctor earlier this week for a follow-up on other issues and was surprised with the fact that the doctor was NOW able to see Junior's little pee pee. Nini and I both could not believe it and to this day, we're still pinching ourselves. As soon as I found out, I went to the mall to buy my first baby outfit with my mom. I was surprised to find how little clothes were available for boys. The girl sections completely overpowered the stores with pinks and yellows. I finally did find a cute little newborn outfit that has doggy prints and logos on it. I got a 5 piece Carter newbie starter set which comes with a beanie, socks, a romper (see pic below) and a blanket. So cute!!

HUGE CONGRATS TO ANOTHER PEACH PIT ENGAGEMENT

Lindsey, congrats on your exciting engagement. I am so happy for you and Grant and feel so great that you found the man of your dreams. I know Grant will take great care of you and I CANNOT wait to see you in Kansas, dressed in white!! ahhh!!! The peachers are all getting married! I love ya and hope your week and the next coming months are super exciting.

No Luck...

Nini and I had our 17 week doctor appointment today and we were hopeful that we would find out the baby's sex today. After 15 minutes of searching high and low, junior refused to cooperate. Junior's back was facing towards us and we saw great shots of the spinal cord but not of what we wanted. Argh! I wanted to ask the Doctor to keep looking but I felt bad putting pressure on him. I mean, I will find out when junior is ready for me to know. Nonetheless, I was a little disappointed and I could see the same bummed out look on Daddy Nini as we left the Doctor office. We have another appointment coming up shortly which means more time to shop around (not buy) for nursery furniture. Neither of us have even bothered to think of baby names. Its hard enough picking one, let alone two without knowing the gender for sure. I am not a patient person by nature so maybe this is mother nature's way of teaching me how to slow down and wait for news to come to me. I did get a 11 minute...

and the Sharks are out...

Image
Sunday night's Sharks game was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have to say that I am a total Hockey fan now and will follow the Sharks from here on out. I was a casual hockey fan before, going to a few games at the shark tank a year but now, its on. I love hockey. It's so much like soccer. Back to Sunday night's game, the Sharks came out to play hard. I have never watched so many OverTimes in my life! I couldn't believe how many opportunities the Sharks had and how awesome both goalie's performed. The sickest catch was made by Nabokov in one of the overtime period where he went from left to right and back to left to save a upper goal shot, stopping the puck just inches from the red line. Neil and I started watching the game at 6pm. Around 11, we tucked the boys into their doggie crate and went to bed and watched the rest of the game from there. I only made it to the beginning of the 3rd OT period. I couldn't keep my eyes awake. I had been chewing my nails and filled with anx...

Goooo Sharks!

Image
Another must win tonight for the Sharks. I'm watching the game right now and it is pretty intense. We are behind 3-1 in the series which means we have to win the next 2 games to allow for a game 7 back home in San Jose. Only 2 others teams in NHL history have been able to come back from such a crappy record. Let's just keep our fingers, toes, legs... all of them crossed! Go Sharks!

Ha Ha Ha....Too Funny

New Baby T's.... I swear I will not put my kid in one of these ;o)

Sex and the city... I can't wait!!

Oprah got me pumped up and now, I have to share my excitement with my readers. Here's a sneak peak at the extended trailer to get you pumped up. I couldn't wait for May now only 20+ days until I get to reunite with the sex n' the city girls.

Whats wrong with some people?

I have to say that when Nini came home and told me the news of this Austrian man and what he had done to his daughter over a period of 24 years, I was in shock. I have heard of cases where sicko's have locked up innocent victims in caves, basements and other random ass places but I have never heard of a man that did this to his own daughter for this long... and put her through so much abuse. The story is straight from a horror film and I hope that the man who did this will suffer equal if not more pain somehow in the future. If you haven't heard of the story, here are 2 articles that'll give you some more info. It's a total downer news article but one worth posting. Austrian threatened incest victims with gas death Thu May 1, 2008 3:12pm EDT By Sylvia Westall (Article retreived from Reuters.com) AMSTETTEN, Austria (Reuters) - An Austrian man who imprisoned his daughter for 24 years and fathered seven children with her had threatened to kill his victims by pumping ...
