Kicks and Jumps

Today is a very interesting day for me. Baby Junior has been been kicking and jumping more so than ever before. I am 25 weeks pregnant and he sure started this milestone off on the right foot. Right now, I can look down at my tummy and see it bounce. It's crazy. Its also so cool how mother nature introduces this in such a gradual way. Neil also felt the baby move for the first time this weekend which was really special since guys don't experience much with the pregnancy. Well Neil has been dealing with me and my attitude so he deserves a reward for that! We had our 6 month doctor visit on Friday and got to see baby parry moving in my tummy. He looks healthy and that's seriously all that we're concerned with right now. His body measurements are all on track for his age. My next doctor appointment is one that I've been warned about my many of my friends. I have the glucose screening test which requires me to stay at the doctor's office for over an hour t...

Smokey Mess

Things here in my world have been good. I just came back from a nice weekend of camping only to have to jump back into a crazy work week. Now that its Friday afternoon, I can take a nice sigh of relief and enjoy a weekend that's about to start any minute. I woke up this morning to the news showing about half of California on fire. What the heck is going on!! Everyone is talking about staying indoors and not breathing in the air. There are over 1,000 fires in progress throughout California. Do we have enough fire fighters to handle them? Most of the fires were started from the lightning we had earlier this week. I experienced the same thing on Saturday while we were camping. We had about 1.5 hours of on/off rain and thunder/lightning. It was kinda scary because before that, it was a hot and beautiful day. To make matters worst, we were camping on a site with a tree that had been previously hit by lightning. Go figure! Today was my 24.5 week doctor appointment for Junior. I...

June Photo Diary

Image
Here are some pictures from my activities in June. I thought my family and friends would get a kick out of some of them. I just got back from my camping trip and will post those pics in a few days. My pregger ass needs to chill a little today. Fathers Day with my Dad and Neil the Dad to be: Neil and I went over to soon to be grandpa's house for a fathers day BBQ. We had bought my dad a ton of BBQ supplies from William Sonoma and I was excited for him to use it all. The day was beautiful and the food was even better. My dad's BBQ's are seriously delicious. We spent the day hanging out, watching soccer and then we headed home with the boys who were exhausted from all their fun at grandpa's :) San Jose Earthquakes vs LA Galaxy (Family Tailgate): My family along with Neil's mom and her loved ones all got together for a day of tailgating and soccer in support of the San Jose Earthquakes. This was the first time that I had ever tailgated with my family. Most of my...

Poor Portugal

Image
I am sad. Portugal lost their game against Germany in today's Euro Cup Quarterfinals. I had been looking forwrd to this game all week and I was soooo unhappy to see Portugal go down. However, the game was excellent. Germany, who had been sleeping the entire first round, played a very clean and determined game although Portugal had more shots and a better passing percentage. What did Germany do to win the game? Well they took advantage of key plays and opportunities. Plus, their guys are physical. I am soo sad that I won't be able to see Cristiano Ronaldho strut his stuff or Nuno Gomez. how sucky. Here at work we have tons of soccer fans from countries from all over. So we have all been following the Euro Cup pretty closely. We all went across the street to a bar/restaurant and watched the game. This place has pretty good TV's and is literally across the street from our office and allows us to go back and forth if need be. I am looking forward to many other games to...

Baby Parry Update

Image
Im 21 weeks preggers and I am feeling my tummy expand more and more on the daily. Wow is this amazing or what!! My baby's size: The baby is pretty big but not big enough to go out in the real world. While most women are expected to feel their babies between 16-22 weeks, I still have yet to feel the wonderful kicks and touches. It is kinda sad because everytime we go in for an ultrasound, baby parry is doing karate and moving all over the place. Nini just looks at me and says HOW DO YOU NOT FEEL THAT BABE? hmmm, maybe it'll happen when I least expect it. I am still in shock everytime I look in the mirror at myself. Seriously, what happened to my stomach?? I swear the gradual growth of the tummy somehow happens without you knowing because some morning it comes to me as a shock. Sleeping is getting a little hard as I am now peeing about 4 times a night and can't sleep on my back or tummy.... I was the biggest TUMMY sleeper so that was a hard transition for me. Nini bought...

RO IS READING!! wow...

Image
OK. I am going to try and get into this reading thing if its gonna kill me. Since TV and Movies right now pretty much stink (not counting the major summer blockbusters) I figured I would take up reading... My sister and Fiance are both avid readers, Book Worms, and I always find myself jealous when they talk about books with other people or when they get to buy books from Borders. Neil's mom recently gave me a book so I stared reading it last night. I got thru 24 pages and it was exciting and storyline was very interesting which is good because i have a SHORT attention span. I will write more as the book's characters and plot start to come together. If I can finish this book and one more, I might start a book club. Who Knew! Well, here's the book I'm reading. A huge thanks to Linda for inspiring me to read again! Author: Jodi Picoult Title of Book: The Tenth Circle Short Synopsis: When Daniel Stone was a child, he was the only white boy in a native Eskimo village ...
