The Nesting Bug during the third trimester has BIT me.
For those of you who've never been *blessed* by pregnancy, let me give you an example. I was in our bedroom the other night and I asked Nini to help me. He came over to me and said Whats up. I told him that I didn't like how our bedframe didn't hit the wall. There was a 2 inch gap between the bed and the wall and it bothered me. I told him I needed his help moving the bed and pushing it up against the wall. he looked at me like I was crazy. not only was it midnight but he was dumbfounded by how that could have bugged me. Plus moving our bed is not easy.
He told me he'd take care of it later and that I needed to chill. I agreed (unwillingly) and went to bed. The next day, as soon as he left the house, I found myself in our bedroom, trying to move the bed. mind you I am NOT suppose to be doing any physical activities. I swear it was like I was in a trance. I started cleaning the room since I couldn't move the bed by myself, darn thing was too heavy.
I started deep cleaning... then when I was done in there, I went to the nursery and started adding the new monkey decals I bought all over the walls. This was a task for 2 but somehow I managed to do it all by myself. It was as if I was on a mission to CLEAN and REORGANIZE and I was the captain of the ship and no one could stop me! One thing to note here is that during the third trimester, you really don't have that much energy. So all the while I'm doing all this stuff, I'm sweating profusely and super exhausted. My doctor had also wanted me to keep my activity at a minimum. You trying telling that to a Type A Leo that's in her nesting phase. It's like putting a phat steak in front of my dog Rocco and telling him not to eat it. It's just not happening. Basic chores like dishes, sweeping etc are now daily tasks. WHAT THE HELL!! Baby Bambino, please come out so I can stop....
So the day ended and I was beat.
Later that night, Nini came home, only to find me strapped to the couch and in major back pain. I could not even get off the couch without help. My back hurt like hell, let me EMPHASIZE the word HELL. It was bad!! The worst past about it was that I had only myself to blame.
My body is in pain just sitting and working on the computer so any extra physical activity just puts me under and boy was I regretting it. Poor Nini. He's all confused. I bet he thinks I have this new OCD thing. I had to prove him wrong. So I did what any other normal person does when they think something is wrong with them. I GOOGLED IT!! I mean, I was just minutes away from grabbing a toothbrush and cleaning every grout line I found in the house. I had to do something.
During my research of this thing called "NESTING", I found out that this is VERY NORMAL.

"Do you find yourself cleaning out cupboards you haven't looked in for months or washing all the contents of your linen closet? You may be nesting! This is a very common phenomenon, just be careful that you don't climb up on chairs in your enthusiasm and risk a fall. Also, guard against wearing yourself out. You need to conserve your energy for the hard work ahead in labor. "

Most women experience a nesting urge during third trimester, which makes sense as the time for your baby's birth approaches. You're probably scurrying around making a little nursery nest for your baby but don't forget to relax
So now that I am cured and part of normal society, I am going to go back and clean. Just kidding. Today, I was too busy with work to do anything. I think that's it. I need to keep myself busy with other activities. Well I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday night. I gotta go watch my recorded OPRAH!!
