What day is it???

This thanksgiving was anything but slow paced. This is the first second that I have had to myself... Neil is getting us din din (short for dinner) and LJ is napping and the dogs are self entertaining themselves. I felt like writing on my blog because I need to remember these moments in the future when I think of how many kids i want :) We have been non-stop since Wednsday morning and holy shit, I just realized its Sunday. I thought it was Saturday until about 1 hour ago. All the days are jumbled into one another and I have just been on the go, not taking a second to slow down because if I did, I would crash. I am looking forward to an evening at home... not doing a single thing. Please don't get me wrong, I did very much enjoy my holidays. I love thanksgiving because its the one holiday where you just get to celebrate being with family... and not stressing about gifts like you do on birthdays and christmas and valentines day and soooo on. This holiday is truley about being than...

5 weeks and counting...

Being a mommy has been AMAZING. FANTASTIC. AWESOME. I cannot even describe it in words because I feel like there aren't strong enough adjectives in the world to capture the emotions that go behind being a parent. The first month has been pretty cool. The days FLY by and I look back and wonder, where did the day go? The first couple of weeks were rough. I was mostly recovering from my c-section and trying to get the hang of breastfeeding. My family and Neil were very helpful during this time... I don't know how women can handle things after a cesarean without additional help. I am very impatient so I started to do things on my own fairly quickly but I had to keep telling myself to slow it down. Leonidus slept, pooped and ate a lot during the first couple of weeks. He started getting more alert in his 3rd week of life and now he's just adorable. He's gaining weight fast and he's a healthy and whopping 12 lbs and this was at his 1 month appointment. I call him my...

Blizzard Man :)

I saw another HILARIOUS skit on SNL this past weekend and had to share it with my readers. I love it.

SNL's Single Ladies Music Video Skit...

This was one of the funniesst skits I have ever seen. I don't know why but it had me cracking up forever on Saturday night. JT is just classic. First DickinaBox and now this... Justin Timberlake, you are funny!

My Labor Story...

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE being a mom and having a gorgeous huggable squeezable lovable baby boy! Life has been very different from the moment I left the hospital on October 23. After 5 days of being in the lap of medical care luxury and having my NURSE's button, I am now at home and learning to be a good parent. Labor Story... It's long overdue so here's a brief labor story. Friday October 17, my mom had all of our family over at her house to say goodbye to Bianca, RJ's sister. I was due October 14, so 3 days late I decided to go and hang out. Anything to kill the time. I was in my 9th month of pregnancy and miserable as ever. I felt like a water buffalo and waddled everywhere and had to stop every few steps for a deep breath. I gained an unmentionable amount of weight and felt like I was carrying the world first 30lb baby. My mom's house and being with family was exactly what I needed to feel a little better. every night was hard because you think, gosh I f...

and the winner is... BARACK OBAMA!

America got it right. Obama has prevailed and is now our 44th president!! Our country has come along way and this is one of the moments where I can say that I am truly proud to be an AMERICAN! My son will never know the impact of this election however I am okay with that because he will be raised in a country where love and now politics sees no color. I am also very touched by McCain's speech tonight. It was very heartfelt and whether he meant it or not, I was very pleased to hear him so supportive of Obama. Tonight, 11/4/2008, is a moment in which history was made. We will all remember this night forever. GoodNight. Ro
