Sonora resident Diane “Nana” Chisholm died May 23 at her home. She was 72.
Mrs. Chisholm was born in West Virginia and moved to Richmond, Contra Costa County, when she was 12 years old.
She married Reginald Chisholm in 1982 and moved to Sonora in 1983.
She worked as a clerk at Fye’s Stationery Store in downtown Sonora for 10 years. Her family said she was a loving mother, dedicated to helping her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Browning.
Mrs. Chisholm is survived by her husband of 27 years, Reginald Chisholm, of Sonora; children and their spouses Linda Decker, of Twain Harte, Joe Egan, of Benicia, Solano County, Diane and Bill Dies, of Sonora, Julie and Dick Hall, of Sonora, David Egan, of Sonora, and Carol Egan, of Sonora; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings Harold Browning, of Vacaville, Wanda Van Iderstine, of Oregon, and Sandy Jackson, of Arizona.

Private family services will be held.
Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
