Good Bye Nana...
Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.

This past memorial day weekend was a very somber and strange one. We headed up to Pinecrest lake on Friday to spend the weekend camping with Neil's side of the family. The weather was a perfect and cool 70 degrees and we were ready for an amazing weekend. That is until on Saturday morning we got word that Neil's amazing and beautiful Nana had passed early that morning in her sleep. The rest of the weekend was kind of a blur because no one could really believe it. We tried to spend the weekend as we were, camping, because we knew Nana would want nothing more. Everyone was together and it was sorta nice being able to spend time in the beauty of the mountains and reminisce about great memories we all had about Nana. Everyone was sorta scared to go back to the real world because, once we did, it would hit us that she was really gone.
Nana was a mother, a grandmother and a great friend to so many people. She was the most caring person you could ever meet. She was always there for her family and people always asked her for advise because she was full of good ideas. I am so truly blessed to have met her and spent such great quality time with her. I'm also thankful to have had her meet Leonidus. She loved him so much and always told me that he was such a cute boy. I recall having so many conversations with her about motherhood and how much it can change a person and give life so much more meaning. I envied her as a mom and hope that I can be as strong and loving as she was.
Nana passed on Saturday May 23, 2009 however heart spirit will always live on in our hearts. We will miss you !!
