New Baby Stuff
Little Dude ... or Big Dude as daddy would call him is growing FAST. It seemed like just yesterday I was pregnant and now our son is army crawling, teething, drinking juice, eating pureed veggies and has become his own character. WOW.
With a growing baby you end up buying new and exciting baby stuff. We recently upgraded LJ's car seat since the infant seat was getting a tad bit snug on him. We purchased the Britax Boulevard CS (see pic below). Its the latest Britax car seat and its features are insane. How could we say no to safety? The features of the seat make it worth its sticker price. PLUS the weight limit goes to 65Lbs.
So far we are happy with it. The CS stands for "Click Safe" and true to it's name the Click & Safe Harness Adjuster “clicks” when the harness straps are snug to help you know when you've safely secured your bundle of joy. For more details on the rest of the car seat features, click here.
We also just started giving LJ a little itty bit of juice in a started sippy cup. So far, he seems to enjoy it. As for feedings, I just bought one of those feeders for LJ because he loved to chew on fruit like apples and stuff but since he has so many teeth, he ends up taking huge bites of it, problem is that he doesn't know how to chew yet so he just coughs and scares the crap out of us. The feeder lets you place a piece of fruit in a mesh bag and lets them suck on the juices of the fruit without actually eating it. Once LJ is done sucking it, we give the apple to the dogs. Wow, what a recycling family...LOL.
LJ is also signed up for swim classes that started last week but due to the Swine Flu, we thought we should wait until the chaos passes. A high school about .5 miles away from the swim class was shut down due to swine flu which scared the crap out of us, especially since babies and toddlers are VERY susceptible to getting sick. I just want the weather to get nice again so we can take LJ out to the pool. He LOVES swimming.
I was so bummed that we didn't get to go to LJ's swim class that I had to go out and order some cool beach towels for our pride n' joy. I am obsessed with towels. The more plush and cozy, the better so I ordered 2 towels: 1 personalized beach wrap and 1 personalized towel wrap.

Aren't they cute? I just got word from the hubbie that they delivery was just made today so I can't wait to go home and see the towels. I got our last name on one of them and then LJ's first name on the other. Wow, I am having way to much fun over nothing but who cares :)
