Michael Jackson -- You will be truley missed!!!

Image
Michael Jackson... My role model and the man who made me fall in LOVE with music!! I am very much still in disbelief as I sit here at home, surprisingly alone, with Thriller jamming in the background on BLAST as I take in the loss slowly... song by song. I really still have yet to wrap my mind around the fact that the KING OF POP, the guy who sold over 50 million albums, has left us. I remember so many FOND FOND memories with Michael Jackson and have so many great stories in which he was part of pivotal moments of my life. I recall being a kid and watching the Thriller album over and over.. even Billy Jean and just thinking how amazing he was... its very sad knowing that my son won't really know who he was. Well I don't think a lot of us really knew who he was over the past decade but he was so unique and I think the stardom he experienced was overwhelming, perhaps maybe even the reason behind his death. I don't think there is an artist out there that put in so much of his...

Camping @ Clear Lake June 2009

Image
My family and I recently went camping at Clear Lake State Park, one of the largest, one of California’s largest freshwater lakes. The campgrounds is north of Calistoga in the wine country. Neil, Leonidus, Jace (Neil's baby bro) and I got on the road Thursday after 3 hours of packing. Its rough packing for an infant who's crawling, 2 adults who are kinda high maintenance and a 9 year old. Let's just say, thank goodness we had room for the 4 of us in the Cadillac. LOL. Thankfully Neil is an amazing packer and he takes pride into packing as much stuff into a car with minimal use of space. Good Going Boo!! The drive up to Clear Lake was beautiful. I mean, scenic in every sense of the word. we drove through gorgeous wine country, tight windy roads that were desolate and wild... it was incredible. I love new road trips that we get to go on because its a new route, new things and new adventures. one thing that sucked was that almost everyone from my dear family was there but my si...

Happy 8 Month Birthday Leonidus!!

Image
My baby turned 8 months old on Friday (June 19th) and all I can say it WOW, how time flies. It has been such an incredible month and so much has changed with our little boo. He has grown into such a cute adorable friendly heart-warming and loving boy. My days begin with so much joy when I wake up and he's laying next to me, with a HUGE smile that lights up the entire room. He smiles not just with his lips but with his whole face. His eyes crinkle, his nose puckers up... its just freaking amazing!!! I feel like I bond and get closer to LJ each day. I'm thankful for all of the time I get to see him and countdown the minutes until I get home to see him. I am sure all parents feel this way but I never realized that having a child would be THIS AWESOME. happy 8 month birthday Leonidus. We love you!! New developments over the last month: (1) Crawls!!! Our baby is crawling all over. He hit this milestone at 7 months 2 weeks old but now, he's mastered it over the past 2 weeks. inc...
