9 month check up and more!!
My little slugger is 9 months and 1 week old. To celebrate, we took him to see his all new Pediatrician (Dr. Tracy McMahan). I absolutely LOVE her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a pediatrician. Anyways, LJ got 2 shots (yucky) and his stats were as follows:
Weight: 23 lbs (lost a couple of lbs, probably because he's so active). He's between percentile 75 and 90
Length: 30 inches and in the 90th percentile
Head: I forgot! Bad Mommy!
The last time he had been to the doctor for a check up was during his 6 month visit and his stats then were:
29 inches: Length = above percentile 95
21 lbs Weight = in percentile 90
18 in Head Circumference = in percentile 9
Leonidus has changes A TON the past few weeks. First and foremost, he's a crawling machine. Going everywhere and anywhere he can! He's also pulling himself up on furniture, drawers, walls, anything he can use to maneuver himself to a standing position. I have a feeling couch surfing is next. He's yet to master that one fully. LJ loves to get us to hold his hands and walk around. That's actually one of his favorite things to do. When I try to sit him down, his stiffens up his legs and that's basically saying I WANNA WALK, not sit mom! so cute.
Here is he walking with his daddy

Here is he waiting for Daddy to come inside... or begging daddy to let him outside!
Daddy, please let me out there with you!!
Mommy, please open this door!
What a sad boy :(
We also have quite the blabber mouth on our hands. Just 2 days ago, he finally starting saying Ba Ba Ba... in addition to every sound a gremlin makes. Lol. He's also a big grunter. So if he's not getting what he wants, he'll either scream or grunt. Wonder who he learned that from! (his dad)... hahaaaaa.
I have also started making my own baby food and freezing it. So far, I have made the following dishes for my little pumpkin poo:
(1) Rasberry, Peach and Pear Puree with Yogurt
(2) Wheat spaghetti with awesome bolognese sauce (all organic of course)
(3) Sweet potato hashbrowns (yummy!)
My mom (aka LJ's momanyjoon) also makes plenty of dishes for us. She makes him tons of Persian food that he seriously devours. Cooking for LJ has been awesome. I absolutely enjoy it and find myself wanting to expose him to a variety of foods so that he has a nice and broad palette for his future. He's also enjoying tons of fruits and vegetables at this point of his life. I can't get him enough!
Wow, what else. In swimming class, Leonidus has began kicking. It took him a few months to learn and now, he can't stop! His kicking is so darn cute that I laugh everytime we go to the pool. Its awesome and that boy is a little fish man. He's a huge fan of swimming.
After weeks of practice, we also have a SOLID nightly routine for Leonidus. He is a trooper although he still has to cry it out for 10 minutes on most nights. Our routine consists of a 7:30pm shower followed by a book at 8pm, milk at 8:10pm and NIGHT NIGHT by 8:20pm.
He loves bathtime:
And here are some other random pics from the past few weeks of Leonidus and his friends and family!!
