My baby turned 2! Happy Birthday Leonidus!
This past week was very bittersweet for me. My first born son, Leonidus, turned 2. Two you say? That's not old. To me, its HUGE. To me, its like... WHERE THE HECK DID TIME GO? What happened to my infant Leonidus who wanted to sit and cuddle? Now I have this amazing 2 year old, who makes his own decisions, has his own emotions and can talk!!! We just had LJ's 2nd year doctor appointment. Everything looked great and as always here are his stats:
Length 37" = above percentile 95
Weight 30lbs = between percentile 50 and 75
He was always up there in both length and weight but his weight seems to be dropping. must be because he's super duper active and jumps around all the time. Do you know how hard jumping is ? I tried to jump with him and 4 minutes later, I was about ready to die. JUMPING is nuts (do i sound old or what!)
Every birthday, the Parry's have started a breakfast tradition. No matter who's bday it is in our family, we like to start the day off RIGHT with a delicious breakfast. This year, we took LJ to Hobees. He had a great time with his mom, dad, brother Kian and even his momanijoon stopped by to eat with us!

Since my boys are super duper special to me so I like to have FUN bday parties for them since their birth was such a joy to me! For LJ's 2nd birthday we decided to throw his party at Uesigi Farms in Morgan Hill. The farm is super small and cute and has the perfect atmosphere for little kids. I sent invites out to all of our closest family and friends and started planning very early, in September. LIfe is super busy with 2 kids but for some reason party planning is just fun to me so it gave me a nice little break and an exciting project to work on.

The theme: MONSTERS. Thanks to ETSY, I was able to find DIY design that was custom made for LJ. The design entailed 4 different monsters and the COLORS for the party were LIGHT BLUE, NAVY BLUE and ORANGE. I surprisingly loved the 3 colors together and would have never thought they'd go so well for a party.
In my eyes a party is not complete unless you have 2 things:
(1) amazing cake
(2) good party favors for the kids
I remember those were the 2 things that I loved when I went to parties when I was young so I try my best to get those 2 things done right. and of course, great people. nothing makes a party unless there's awesome FUN people there!
The week before the birthday party, I started getting worried because the weather turned NUTS. It had been the warmest October but all of a sudden it started to get stormy. Days before the party the weather predicted 70% chance of rain during the time of LJ's party! OMG! I was freaking. I called a couple of friends and they told me that everything would work out. Believe it or not, it did. The rain started about 1 hour after the party was over and during the party, the weather COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!! THANK YOU MUTHA NATURE! you hooked it up honey :)
Here are some pics from our special bday celebration.

and a huge thanks to my sister JO who helped me with party planning and another HUGE thanks to my uncle arzhang for taking such awesome pics :)
