Solo Bath Time Routine with the munchkins....

I woke up to feed baby Kian this morning at 4:30am and haven't been able to return back to sleep. Maybe its because I have so much on my mind or maybe its because I went to bed pretty early. Not sure which but I'm up.

Getting very excited for the weekend. We have our last Sobrato High School football game on Friday night against Westmont. Am I sad? Of course. Am I relieved we get a break from having the hubby away from coaching a bit? absolutely.

I am sure I've talked about coaching and the hours of time it consumes so you know that the Parry Fam needs a break. Mostly I can't wait to start eating dinner together as a family. During season, Neil gets home roughly between 7-8pm. Leonidus has to eat at 6pm or he's a crabby patty. I think its important to have kids eat dinner earlier so they aren't going to bed on such a full stomach. Eating dinner and giving both boys a bath on a solo mission is intense. I've got it down to a science at this point so its easy but it took me a few months to get a pattern down right.

+Bath Time for the SOLO parent:+
+-------------------------------+
-Take the boys upstairs
-Go to LJ's room, pick out his pajamas, onesie and diaper and lay it on his bed
-Grab his towel
-Go to Kian's room (all of this I'm doing with Kian in my arms), grab a towel, diaper, onesie and his pajama's, take all of his stuff with us to the bathroom
-Place all of Kians clothes near the vanity
-Start the bath water
-Lay Kian on our bed
-Go to bathroom, undress LJ and put him in the bath
-Grab baby bath seat
-Put it in the bath with LJ
-Go to bed, undress Kian and place him in the bath with LJ
-this is where the fun begins.. SING, DANCE, SPLASH... FUN FUN FUN
-15 minutes later, grab Kian out of the bath, dry him off and dress him near the vanity where we have perfect view of LJ who's still playing his heart out in the bath
-Dress Kian
-Take Kian to LJ's room and lay him on his bed
-RUN fast as hell back to the bath (leaving a toddler in a bath by himself is pretty dangerous), wash up LJ, rinse, take him out
-Wrap him up in his towel and go to LJ's room where Kian awaits
-Dress up LJ in all the clothes that have been set out from the beginning of the process
-Give each boy a big ole KISS on the lips and WALA! We are done with bathtime all under 45 minutes!!!!

Seriously, this routine only took 2.5 months to develop but once you are on a roll, bath time is a SYNCH.

Here are my boys all fresh and clean after their nightly bath: (LJ 2 years Kian 4 months)
