The California Academy of Science 2011
A few months ago the Parry Family hit up the "The California Academy of Sciences in SF" for a day of sight seeing... it was overcast but a gorgeous day in the city. Its always hard travelling with kids and nap schedules. We tried our best to get the boys in the car right before naps so they could sleep during the hour car ride there...
well that was a great idea but I ruined it. Aunti Jo had sent the boys a "Tom and Jerry DVD box set". We hadn't watched it yet so we loaded it into the car DVD player and hit the road. I did not know that LJ would laugh HYSTERICALLY (i am not joking) for an hour straight. I mean, I was like, Neil he's gonna barf he's laughing so much. I kept looking back and seeing him crack up. So when we got to the museum he was already tired, grouchy and he had burnt his energy during the car ride laughing his a** off. He even got a bad case of the hiccups from laughing so hard. It was adorable I have to admit but the whole time my mommy nap-time clock was beeping and I was getting anxious as to what type of mood I was going to have to deal with while we were at the museum. :)
We made it through the museum for 3 hours and then he crashed in the stroller. Both of them slept again and Neil and I had a nice 30 minutes of time to ourselves in the museum while the boys napped in the stroller. That was actually a really special treat. Here are some pics from our outing. I really do recommend visiting this museum if you get a chance. Its quite interesting and has a lot of activities for kids of all ages. LJ's favorite, the jelly fish. He talked about them for weeks... and even did quite a cute impression of them!
