no more camping plans

As I said before the weather report called for rain, thunder and wind in Tahoe this weekend thus my plans for camping in Tahoe have been cancelled. Have no fear, there is plenty going on in San Joser to keep me busy. I've got two days of golf ahead of me, 2 graduation parties and some family time somewhere in there... Life is beautiful no matter what. Remember that ;) Stay Tuned, Da Vinci Code Review coming soon!

The office

One of my favorite shows. I think I'm going to start posting some of my favorite clips on my site. Its my way of sharing one of my favorite show with you! The office: Hit Me Scene:

MIA = me right now

Image
I've been so bad at posting lately. Maybe its because I was out of town this weekend. Or maybe it's because I am in my last week of my first class and things are piling up like no other. Maybe its becuase my job is requiring a lot of work and face time. Maybe its because I'm spending every spare minute I have at the gym working the hot bod.. or maybe.. just maybe, there aren't enough hours in a day. Why only 24 hours? Can't a day be considered 36 hours? Wouldn't that be awesome? Just a few latte's and the 36 hours would be over in a snap! Now its ok. I'm back to reality and the fact that humans are stuck with 24 hours. I have class tonight and thank goodness that I do because I am sooo ready to turn in 2 papers, each over 2000 words and then some other random homework assignments. I also have to do a 10-15 minute presentation. That's not so bad. I love talking and I especially love it if its about me. Piece of Cake. BUT just a warning, if you have a...

World Cup Schedule !! Yeah!!

FIFA 2006 World Cup Schedule. Are you ready to rumbleeeeeeeeeeeeeee??? So the WORLD CUP schedule is out and we've got less than 1 month to get the party started. All I know is that I will be glued to my HD tv and everyone is invited to come to my house. Just bring beer and some food. What i would give to be teleported to Germany to watch these games man! I love soccer. It feels like just yesterday the '94 world cup was here in the Bay Area. It was so much fun. I remember Brazil and the fans... the drums.. downtown los gatos. Too bad I wasn't old enough to really party back them =( Anyways, print this out or do whatever you have to do but don't miss the games. # Date Kickoff Eastern Time Group Teams and TV Stations 1 Fr Jun 9 12noon (9am PST) A Germany vs Costa Rica ESPN2 Univision 2 Fr Jun 9 3pm (12pm PST) A Poland vs Ecuador ESPN2 Univision 3 Sa Jun 10 9am (6am PST) B England vs Par...

poor rocco

Image
well things aren't looking all that well at the 152 lately. The growth on Rocco's back has turned into a golf sized ball. The vet is very concerned about this problem and lil cutie patuttie Rocco will have surgery on Friday to get it removed. The company that made the tick shot will be paying for everything ( they BETTER) and they will also send the lump through biopsy. The surgery will be pretty yucky and will include shaving rocco's back, removing the bump and then sewing him back together. Think of Rocco on Friday at 7am. He'll be really sad and so will his mommy and daddy and brother Peezy. =(

Weekend Update

Image
Its Tuesday. I took Monday off of work to spend with Jo and My mom so its like a Monday today, which kind of sucks. Why? Because I'm pretty burnt out from my weekend and not to mention I have lots of work at work and then school from 6-10pm. Rarrr!!! Here's my weekend in 5 seconds: I golfed with my boo after work on Friday. I shot a 47 on the front 9. That is the best score I have had yet. Seriously, a 47!!!! That is soooooooooooooo awesome! Finally, my game is coming around. THANK YOU GOLF GODS!! Saturday I pretty much spent the entire day with Neil, Harlee and AJ doing a million things including goiung to a Giants Game (They won!!), watching the moovie United 93 and eating tremendous food at Yukki Sushi, my favorite hole in the wall. Sunday was sorta great. Since I had plans with the moms early that morning, Neil made a tee time at the Ranch to play a quick 18 holes before we went to my uncles house. He came home at noon and as he was getting ready to shower, I was folding l...

I want my BabyTV.

Image
Unbelievable. I thought that we were trying to get kids to stop watching so much TV, not have a channel designed for even YOUNGER children! As a child, I loved watching TV. What kid doesn't? Fortunatley, my parents didn't allow the excessive TV watching and put my sister and I in sports, various activities and also limited our TV viewing to PBS and KQED. It sucked being a kid but I think it helped me find other things to do instead of vegging on the couch. Direct TV is now releasing a channel specially designed for kids ages 6months to 3 years old. That means, this channel can be watched by a kid 24-7. I mean, what else would they want to do? Go out and play? America is headed in the complete wrong direction if we're going to allow this type of network to focus on this age segment. here's the article I found on ABC.com : — BabyFirstTV, the first 24-hour channel with programming catering exclusively to children ages 6 months to 3 years old, premieres today through Direct...

Random Murder.. please read at your own risk.

See full article at New York Times.com A Bronx man was expected to be charged yesterday with murdering a co-worker in a late-night dispute in the apartment of the victim's girlfriend. But what stunned detectives and neighbors was not so much the killing itself, but the extraordinary lengths that the authorities say the suspect went to in disposing of the body. The police say the suspect, Victor Gonzalez, used three knives and a saw to dismember the co-worker, Wilfredo Pinto Jr., and then loaded the parts into black lawn-and-leaf bags and dispersed them throughout Longwood. Two legs and an arm, cut off at the elbow, were found in a bag dumped on a weedy patch of sidewalk on a corner of Kelly Street. Bloody clothes were found stuffed in another bag about 10 yards away, on Intervale Avenue near Tiffany Street. A blood-covered quilt was tossed under a tree in a park in the quiet residential neighborhood. The victim's head, wrapped in a jacket, was dropped in a trash can in ...

Idol Shockerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Image
American Idol fans around the planet were all stunned when the final votes turned Chris out to be last nights idol loser. I mean, I never loved the guy but I thought he was going to be AT LEAST in the final two. Can you guys believe the news? Chris had a great voice.. or as Paula always says he was a "breath of fresh air" however he seemed a bit on the sleezy slide. Let's just say I knew that if he won, he'd cheat on his wife and I kinda didn't want that to happen. He would've let the fame get to his head. He seems to be that kind of guy. With that said, I did want him to come in second. He was good. May 24th is right around the corner so it won't be long until this years Idol is revealed. For now, I think Idol fans need some time to let this shocking news settle. I'm rooting for Elliott or Taylor at this point. Katheryn is lame. Here is what I found on the story on people.com : In a shocking turn, American Idol frontrunner Chris Daughtry was voted of...

Just went golfing...

Image
Neil and I decided it was such a bootiful day that we went to Summit Point to play some golf after work. We tee'd off at 5:30 and got 14 holes in. Not bad. But what's even better is how we both played. Nini birdied and pared like a kachillion holes and while I didn't putt well, my drives were spectacular. I think I'm finally getting the hang of my new clubs and also learning to implement all the good things that my dear golf coach Gerald taught me. Seriously, if anyone ever wants to take lessons, go to GolfTec. Its an indoor simulated golf based lesson that is sure to make your game goooooooood. Anyways, I'm on a major golf high. I've got a great weekend coming up because Jouvan is coming to San Joooooooooooooser! Holla. We're going to Burke Williams for Mothers Day and getting pampered like princesses. My family also has a huge BBQ planned on Sunday and all the mom's are going to get treated like queens. I love mothers day. Its so nice to be able to hav...

Barry Bonds, just wait till Saturday!!

Image
This Saturday, Neil and I are going to be going to the Giants - Dodgers game at good ole Pac Bell Park. Our lovely friends Harlee and AJ will be meeting us at our place early Saturday so we can get the tailgating started right. I'm totally siked to go to the game not only because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the giants but also cuzz Barry Biggity Bonds might make history that day... well that is.. if he doesn't do it before. It got pretty close to happening lastnight when Barry Bonds' fly ball to center field almost went to the moon. You see, Barry's next home run will place him into a tie with Babe Ruth at 714 WOPPING home runs. Bonds is really anxious to get to 715... I just hope he settles his anxiety and then comes through HUGE on Saturday where I'll be overlooking his swing in my AAA Club seats. GO big or GO home. Go o o o ooo o ooooo o oooooo Giants! ! ! !

thankful for school

Starting school again has proved itself both challenging and rewarding. I know that I allowed many obstacles interfere with my education in the past but this time around, its different. I've never been so motivated and driven to get this done. I also have my family and Neil backing me 100% and their support is golden. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have such a tight knit group of people around me. My graduation party is gonna be off the hook. ;) LaaliOutti.

Reggae on the River 2006 Line Up

Image
Um you can't beat Ziggy Marley, Don Carlos, Sean Paul, Barrington Levy, Sly and Robbie and much much more. This years Reggae on the River is off the hook. My family and I are in the midst of making plans on going to this years concert, which is also going to be in a new location. Still in garberville but its going to be a mile up the river. I believe the accomodations are going to be a bit better. If you love reggae like i do, don't miss this sweet concert. Its the most unforgettable time! Well I can't gaurantee you'll remember much when its over but you can take lots of pictures. ;) www.reggaeontheriver.com

Iranian woman banned from World Cup

Image
This just out. The iranian supreme leader announced that woman aren't going to be allowed to attend any of this summers World Cup soccer games. This comes a few months after the president had said that Woman could attend, just sit in seperate sections. Its just simply not fair. If you look at the picture to the right, here is how woman have to dress while playing soccer. I mean, i'm sure their outfits aren't nike drifit muslim style. The iranian goverment is so stupid overruling such a opportunity that they gave to woman a couple of months ago. Here's the article that Neil sent me earlier today that lit my fire! TEHRAN, Iran -- Iran's women will be barred from attending soccer games, a reversal by the president that comes a month before the national team plays in the World Cup. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had ruled in April that he would allow women to go to soccer games and sit in a separate section of the stands. He wanted to "improve soccer-watching manner...

Cinco De Mayo

Image
Happy Cinco De Mayo!! As a true san joser, I feel like this is a huge day because my city will be lit up with celebrations on every corner of every street by 10pm tonight. Its gonna be crazy so if you live downtown, lock your doors. I am especially worried for this years events because there is already a lot of turmoil around the immigration debate so the partying could turn into rioting. Since I live RIGHT in the heart of downtown san jose, I've opted to stay home tonight with my dogs and Neil. Most of the streets close around 11pm so if I were to do anything I'd be locked out of my home for the evening. Also, HAPPY FRIDAY. I began this glorious day at 6am for my workout. I've been doing this for about 2 weeks now with my aunt Naazi and we love it. Working out in the morning is so refreshing. It does get hard on some days, especially right around 3pm when the zzz's kick in but all I need is a drink of Advocare's Spark and I'm good the rest of the day. Naazi and...

School is going to consume me...

Image
as most of you know, I am in the middle of my first class after taking a 3 year break from school. Yesterday wasn't an easy day. I was in at a TSP relaunch with my team at a hotel (don't ask what that is) from 9am - 5pm then I headed straight to class from 6pm to 10pm. yuck. Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worste I went home to only find the biggest phattest most blood sucking tick on ROCCO!! It was honestly the grossest creature I've encountered. Remember when my family and I went to Calaveras Park last week? Well we found 2 ticks while we were there so we all checked ourselves and the dogs to make sure we didn't see anymore. I was still soo paranoid lastweek that I got both Peezy and Rocco fully groomed with a tick wash at a petspa. Unfortunately, the spa and myself both missed the nasty lil creature that was mother natures biggest mistake creating.. THE TICK. Look at how grosse that thing is? AND IT WAS IN MY BEDROOM LAST NIGHT!! AHHH!!! I don't ...

Kisses!

Its a beautiful day. Everyone got some ray's this weekend. I got a bit sunburned. Here's a lil sunkissed kiss from me to you.

Shoreline Amphitheater Upgrades...

The new shoreline The managers at Shoreline Amphitheatre say the improvements they made this winter to the 22,000-seat outdoor theater's sound and video systems were like upgrading a home entertainment center from simple stereo to massive surround sound. Judging from last week's opening night, that's a pretty apt analogy. Shoreline's building manager, Matt Prieshoff, beamed Tuesday as the venue's 20th season opened with a Jimmy Buffett show that brought in 15,500 people, even though most of Buffett's party-hearty fans were probably not thinking about the 38 new speakers on the lawn, the two improved daylight screens above the stage, and the large video screens over the bathrooms. And they probably didn't notice the raised boxes for customers in wheelchairs. ``We're in the back, but it still sounds great,'' said Hilary Faust, 21, a Stanford University student who said she plans to return for more shows. That will please the theater's mana...
