Open Season

Image
Today is a great day. It's the opening on the highly anticipated "Open Season" movie starring my favorite little character Mr. Weenie. Who's Mr. Weenie? What is open season you ask? Well if you've been sleeping under a rock then let me shed some light on this amazing little character (who also happens to resemble my boys Rocco and Peezy!). The story: In "Open Season," a grizzly bear named Boog (voice of Martin Lawrence) has a sweet set-up in the town of Timberline. He lives in the garage of a nice young ranger named Beth (Debra Messing), who adopted him years before. She's provided him with a bed, a personalized food bowl, a TV and a nighttime ritual capped by "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" song. One day, after Beth and Boog have done their little song-and-dance act for the tourists, Boog frees a deer named Elliot (Ashton Kutcher) who's lashed to the hood of a hunter's truck. He may be missing an antler, but it turns out he's n...

um. what day is it?

This week has been a whirlwind. Everyday has been so jam packed that by the time I get home and have dinner, I'm dosing off and it's only 9 or 10pm! What's become of me? I used to be the world's biggest night owl, now i'm an early bird... so weak! This is one of those weeks where I feel like there aren't enough productive hours in a day... I spent Monday & Tuesday at the Cupertino Inn for a TSP launch. These launches are for engineers to gauge how many lines of code and how much testing will be expected for an upcoming feature in QuickBooks. The meetings are long but the lunches are fun so it evens out. Monday night I went and made the final decisions on my kitchen and bathroom cabinets and submitted the orders. I had to get it all done Monday because I had school Tuesday. This week was again my another completion of a business course. I had my last class for Research 341, a class that taught us how to implement statistics and research for business proposit...

captain sick-o

I have been super under the weather lately. Ever since Thursday I've been sick. I slept most of Thursday and then most of Friday. I dont know what came over me... It could be that work, school, my golf business and the new remodeling project in my house all caught up with me but who knows. I think I have been taking on wayyyy too much stress the past couple of weeks. Some of you may know but for those that don't I am starting to remodel my condo. That's right. Its about time!! I have just finished my final touches on the project schedule and demolition begins in my kitchen next weekend. I am getting new kitchen cabintets and countertops along with a new pantry and some custom shelving. By the time that is done, my new kitchen appliances will arrive... all which are stainless steel. Pictures to come upon completion! Don't u worry. Following the kitchen project, we're moving upstair to the masterbathroom and remodeling the entire thing with natural slab tile and new...

Bark in the Park 2006

Image
Bark in the Park in downtown san jose is a great great festival that has been going on for a few years now. This year, Neil and I took the boys to their first ever Bark in the Park. I dont know who had more fun, them or us but it was a pretty cool event... especially if your a dog lover. I met up with my friend Jennifer from school and her 2 cute little pugs Missy and Tobey. They were adorable. Neil and I also hooked up with Carlos and Jen. They not only introduced us to bark in the park but we were also able to see Pachuco's baby! It was seriously the cutest min pin ever! I also saw tons of other dogs that I want. Man o Man, if only I lived on a ranch! I would have 10 dogs running around! Anyway, here are some pictures from it: =) Jeni and Carlos and Pachuco role playing! Me and the 2 jennifers with all of our doggies. Jeni with Pachuco's Baby! House of Prime Rib

Image
Friday night was probably our last night we were going to see AJ until he graduates from the CHP academy. He will be leaving Monday and will be in boot camp/training for 6 months and will be done on March 23! The four of us decided to make it a night in SF at the famous "House of Prime Rib" restaurant. We had a really nice time catching up... it's always a blast seeing those two guys! Harlee and I plan on getting together again while AJ is gone.. possibly a girls weekend?? oh yeah! Anyways, here's a picture of us after dinner. It's cute.

Jana's Bachelorette Party Pics

Image
I have had the worlds busiest week and these pictures are long overdue... The following pictures are from last Saturdays festivities which included a limo trip to Napa, wine tasting, lots of drinking and partying in the city... what a great day. The weather was perfect, the girls were awesome and better yet, the drinking was off the hook. We had great wine, great champage.. well cooks, we had shots... it was awesome. I think Jana had a great bachelorette party and she was such a great sport with all of the decorations on her! I can't wait until November 4rth. The cutest most adorable sweetest couple on earth are going to be married! yea!! oh and by the way, these are the PG rated pictures. I couldn't bring myself to post the dirty naughty pics. so you'll just have to use your imagination ;)

this is too funny....

Great weekend ahead...

There seems to be a constant theme in my life... either I have a weekend with no plans or a weekend with like 50 of them. Oh well. Life's more fun that way! I've got a great weekend ahead of me. Friday night... well my family is set out on a camping trip in Santa Cruz for Naazi and Gina's Virgo Birthdays. While everyone is spending the weekend in the mountains, Neil, Rocco, Peezy and I are going up Friday night to chill but we're heading back home that night... WHY? Well Jana's bachelorette party is set to kick off bright & early Saturday morning at 8:30am. We are meeting at our hotel in SF, then taking 2 limo's over to Napa for a day of wine tasting. Then we are coming back to the city and depending on our level of sobriety, going out. While I'm off in wine country, Neil is going to be doing the color for the annual SJSU-Stanford game. Looks like we actually have a great chance of beating those lame cardinals! woohoo!! Sunday is NFL day for me. I am goi...

Great article on Neil and Josh: "Parry's Inspiration Comes From Family"

Image
By Doug Farrar Seahawks.NET Posted Sep 6, 2006 The fullback signed by the Seahawks on September 2nd to back up Mack Strong and replace Leonard Weaver is a study in determination and heart. And according to Josh Parry, the qualities that have kept him in the NFL against the odds since 2001 are nothing compared to those of his brother’s. Josh was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State in 2001 as a linebacker. For two years after that, he struggled to keep a spot on the practice squad, switching positions to fullback and making the Philly roster in 2004. When starting FB Jon Ritchie tore an ACL in September of that year, Parry stood in impressively enough to help his team make it to Super Bowl XXXIX on February 6, 2005. Losing to the Patriots in a 24-21 squeaker was disheartening, but Parry was able to rebound when it was announced that he would be the Eagles’ starting fullback in 2005. Following that season, the Eagles were looking t...

Working on Labor Day

Image
How fitting huh? I am working on Labor day. The word labor means work right? So how come everyone else has today off? Its all good. I'm just being a wino! This weekend was pretty awesome. It was so great having Jouvan and Shya visit. We spent Friday night chilling with my mom and Naazi and her kids. Saturday was a bit more awesome. My grandma, me, jouvan, my mom, naazi and naghmeh all had appointments at Burke Williams. We were in heaven. We spent about three hours there and then hit up Santana Row for some fun girl time. Neil got home that night and babysat Rocco, Peezy and Shya until we got home. Then on Sunday the girls spent the day with their daddy. It was nice. We BBQ some kabobs and relaxed. The day was gorgeous to sit outside so we spent time just chilling. Honestly, this was one of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a long time. I really needed it. Here are some pics I took of my weekend. Happy Monday. Shya and her new little polka dot dress (from aunt Rouge): ...

Eagles trade Josh Parry over to the Seahawks

From one bird to another, these are the days of our lives. I think i should explain my last post. I had to let things sink in today before I went into much detail. Today was a random ass day. Neil was off in seattle doing the SJSU-Washington game. I was home in bed with my boys this morning when I get a call. "Ro, the eagles traded josh to the Seahawks for a 7th round draft pick!" I couldn't believe it. I was sure that Josh had the fullback position on LOCK-down with the Eagles squad.... but that goes to show you how naive I can be. You can never count on the Eagles or anyother NFL team when it comes to job security. So Josh is to report to Seattle first thing Sunday morning. It's all a bit wierd. First and foremost, Neil and I have a ton of eagles gear, even our dog has an Eagles collar and leash! So now we gotta throw them out and start over with seahawks gear. Secondly, I really enjoyed being an Eagles fan. They had a sweet ass Fight song, a great stadium... am...
