Buurrr....

Can you say cold? It was freezing today. I know I just got back from Tahoe but I am not used to dealing with weather anywhere between 25-50 degrees. Its just not natural to be that cold in the bay area. Its Wednesday and the week is almost over. I had promised myself I'd go to the gym on Monday but its 2 days past & I have yet made a move. Whats the deal with me? I think its hard when you go home from work, turn on the fire, put on your cozies and then you are expected to leave and go back out in the cold and get sweaty. Its just hard. I think I need to rethink my daily schedule. I usually get up at 9am. I think I am going to try and get up at 8 (keyword:TRY) and go to the gym in the morning. That way, I can get it out of the way. We'll see if I make it happen tomorrow. Class was pretty hardcore yesterday. I went into my day having nothing done and I had a 2000+word paper due, a presentation and a team paper. I basically went all out from 1pm - end of class and got it all ...

Tahoe continued...

I left off a bit early in my Thanksgiving weekend wrap up because I was busy, I had to work Sunday on a critical bug that needed my attention. Things are okay now and I actually have today off so that I can work on my house. You see, my handyman has been taking his sweet time with my bathroom remodeling project. The last bit of my house that is left has been taking forever. He had promised me that he'd be done by the time I got back from vacation so when I got home on Saturday, I lost it when I saw that the project was still in progress. After a couple of days of cooling off and talking to the workers, they are suppose to be done tonight. My downstairs bathroom is done and I cleaned it all yesterday. The final touches are left in my main bathroom so I hope it gets done tonight. Now, back to Tahoe... Friday was bittersweet. My baby had to leave due to ANOTHER SJSU game. Why does football season always interfere with Thanksgiving my favorite holiday? Its just not fair!!! argh!! When...

Ravishing Rain

What a beautiful Sunday. After sleeping in until 10:30am I woke up to see my balcony being attacked by big droplets of rain. I love rain. I heard the weather in the Bay was pretty nice all week, I guess this is my welcoming home. I spent most of my week in Lake Tahoe with the fam. This year was a lot of fun and filled with lots of good times. Nothing can replace your family and spending time with them is something I cherish and appreciate like no other. I had such a great time relaxing and bonding with everyone. It was also fun getting to spend time with Shya and watching her play with Peezy. They are so cute together. I was in Tahoe from Wed-Sat. I was suppose to be there Tuesday but due to school, work and a late sister, we got a late start... Neil, Jo, Rocco, Peezy, Shya and I left San Jose at around 1am early wed. morning. It was kind of crazy to leave so late but all of us are night riders to it was all good. We got to the cabin at 5am. It was nice because we knew that we were g...

Tahoe Bound!!

Image
Tahoe here we come!! Its time for Thanksgiving Vacation & my amazing family and I are continuing our Tahoe Tradition again! Yeah!! This year we are going to North Tahoe and staying at the beautiful Tahoe Ahwanee Cabin. Inspired by Yosemite's grand lodge, this recently renovated cabin has been a favorite of ours for the past few years. The most amazing part of the cabin is the view. You have a panoramic view of Lake Tahoe and its indescribable. The deck wraps around the house so that you have a different view from all the spots of the house. It's also suppose to snow Wednesday - Saturday so we can expect to take the gang out snowboarding! We have about 15 people going to Tahoe this year. As our tradition continues, the family grows so there is always something new to look forward to. While we're in Tahoe we'll be celebrating my Mom and Neil's birthdays. They're lucky because it always falls on Thanksgiving so they get lots of love & attention (a Leo...

Build a Bike For Charity!!

Image
While a long day at work, yesterday was also fun. After a great lunch celebrating a co-workers 10 year anniversary at PF Changs, my team and I participated in the Intuit Build a Bike for charity contest. There were 2 teams put together and each team had a lead (which was drawn from a hat). My name was picked to choose my team and Chris was chosen as the lead of his team. After selecting teammembers, we had 10 minutes to talk strategy amongst our team. The instructions were that we couldn't use the instructions when we were building a bike. We can only use the picture on the box. We had to form groups of 2 within the team and each 2some had 3 minutes to work on the bike. The catch was that we couldn't communicate with them. So we have to just cheer them on and switch until we had built the bike. My team lost but it was still a TON OF FUN. Enjoy the pics! My team at lunch Another shot of my team chowing down My Team (Team Winner) vs Chris's Team (The actual winners) My team i...
