My little munchkin is growing super duper fast. I cannot believe that he's already over 2 months old and heading towards the 3rd month marker. Where did the time go??????? I am loving motherhood and cannot believe I waited this long. No wonder I was dressing my dogs in clothes all the time. Sheesh, if I didn't have a baby yet I might have started swaddling my pooches :) we had leonidus's 2 month doctor checkup last week. We went to see the doctor for his checkup AND to see what the heck was up with his eye. It had been watering a lot and it looked irritated. During LJ's 2 month check up, his stats were almost OFF THE CHARTS!! Weight: 15lbs (yowza he's a big boy)... say mahshalah. 98th percentile (he's longer than 95% of kids his age) Height: 24 inches (long) - 95th percentile (he's longer than 95% of kids his age) Head Circumference: 40 cm (again, 95percentile) Basically, our 2 month old is a 6-7 month old. This year was an especially awesome christmas. if you were to ask me right now, I might sound huffy and puffy and tired about it but I did have a wonderful holiday this year, well 4 Christmases to be exact!! We spent the weekend before christmas in Sonora, CA visiting Neil's family. We had a great time up there and I got to even go to the candy kitchen in Colombia! Yum!! Leonidus also had a nice time with all of his GAZILLION cousins. I swear, he is one lucky kid to be a part of a family with so many youngenz. We came back into town Sunday night to spend the rest of the christmas holiday with my side of the family. Below are some pictures from Christmas 2008. You can totally feel the Christmas buzz as we near the anticipated holiday. There are 12 days left until Xmas and I am nearly done with all my shopping. I did most of it online this year and I have to tell ya, its great having online shopping as an option when you have a 7 week old baby at home. Neil has been off of work and the past few weeks have been pure bliss. I love having him here with me and Leonidus (and the dogs) because he gets to fall in love with him the way a father should. Its so important that a dad get to be with their son a lot at first. It creates a bond that is indescribable. You would think that we have a ton of time to get stuff done around the house but the fact of the matter is that we don't know where the time goes. We wake up and LJ and the dogs keep us super busy and next thing you know, its nightfall. Thanksgiving 2008 was special because we were able to spend it with Leonidus, Neil, the doggies... My new family!
