HAPPY 9 month Birthday Babycakes!! My little slugger is 9 months and 1 week old. To celebrate, we took him to see his all new Pediatrician ( Dr. Tracy McMahan ). I absolutely LOVE her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a pediatrician. Anyways, LJ got 2 shots (yucky) and his stats were as follows: Weight: 23 lbs (lost a couple of lbs, probably because he's so active). He's between percentile 75 and 90 Length: 30 inches and in the 90th percentile Head: I forgot! Bad Mommy! The last time he had been to the doctor for a check up was during his 6 month visit and his stats then were: 29 inches: Length = above percentile 95 21 lbs Weight = in percentile 90 18 in Head Circumference = in percentile 9 Leonidus has changes A TON the past few weeks. First and foremost, he's a crawling machine. Going everywhere and anywhere he can! He's also pulling himself up on furniture, drawers, walls, anything he can use to maneuver himself to a standing position. I have a feeling c...

The past couple weeks have been AMAZING. Leonidus has slept through the entire night, only to wake up early in the morning, cry a little and then go back to sleep. It seems so long ago where I was struggling with his nightly routine and the constant nightly feedings. We had a rough couple of weeks recently due to more teeth! LJ sprouted a new tooth this week and I feel 2 others coming. He's gonna have an entire grill by his 1st birthday! But for now, I have to count my blessings and be thankful for peaceful evenings. Here's our routine right now. I don't know if this will last forever and we have nights where we totally break the routine but for most part 6:30pm -- Dinner Time (2 vegetable servings, 1 serving of protein, 1 fruit and water) 7pm -- A little playtime 7:30pm -- Bath Time!! 8:00pm -- Turn on LJ's MP3 player, put on the Lullaby Album of the week, Turn on the night light, Milk Time with Mommy on the rocking chair 8:15pm -- Lights out. The past 2 weeks have brought on a lot of losses to the field of entertainment. First Ed McMahan followed by the tragic death of Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson. Next it was Billy Maze and now Steve McNair ?? Woah Woah Woah, let's slow down a minute here. What is going on? Why are so many people passing WAY sooner than nature intended? At times like this we need to stop and re-evaluate our lives and make sure that we are doing our absolute best to live each day to it's fullest. You never know when it could be your last day on this earth so living a life filled with joy, love and happiness is an absolute must. This should be a wake up call for us sitting at home, fearing over the economy, worrying over money and other things that mean nothing when it comes to life and death. Now, more about the death of Air McNair. I am saddened by this death because it was obviously a crime of passion and betrayal.
