Everyone Deserves a lazy sunday

Lazy Sunday: That is totally the way my day began today. After a huge Persian dinner with my family last night, Neil and I got home around midnight and popped in a movie and chilled with our little boys. We were soo stuffed that I soon gave into food coma. Neil, the movie trooper, was able to watch the entire movie and we ended up having a slumber party downstairs. We woke up ever so slowly this morning and it was great. It was dreary and cold out and we had the ultimate lazy Sunday morning. We woke up shortly thereafter and did some chores and watched the Buick golf tournament on TV. Right now, I have dinner cooking away. I am making chicken stuffed with broccoli and cheese with a lentil pilaf rice dish on the side. I got some yum yum salad ready to go too. And for dessert I made double chocolate chip ghiradelli brownies that will go with some vanilla bean ice cream. mmmmmmmmmmmm... Sunday Night Dinners are awesome. I got a busy week planned ahead and have tons of reading to do for sc...

chipotle and rain

Image
I love Fridays but rainy Friday's aren't so much fun. I woke up at 8am (early for me) again for the 5th straight day. This whole going to bed early thing is really working! I feel energized throughout the day and get sleepy eyed right in around bedtime. This is one new years resolution that's gonna stick around. I have even gotten Neil to hit the sack earlier. He does complain but I think he likes the energy he has the next day too. As for the dogs, Rocco is the master of sleeping. He can go to bed early and sleep in so he's doing great with this new schedule, except he hates to wake up. He lounges on the bed for as long as he can while we get ready for work. Peezy on the other hand is a whole other story. He gets a HUGE spurt of energy at night right when we go to bed. He starts jumping around on the bed and wants us to throw his toy around the bedroom. This goes on for about 20 minutes. All the lights have to be off for him to get the hint. In the morning, he's up...

New class... One step closer

I am starting a new class tonight. Business Law. As an ex-engineer major, The only class even remotely close to Law was my engineering ethics class. Other than that, its all TV LAW lessons so it should be interesting. In celebrity news, I have been keeping in touch with my sister who's at the Sundance film festival with paramount on a daily basis. On Saturday night she went to this myspace party where she saw adam brody, pdiddy, sienna miller and even got to take a picture with Pharrell. If anyone knows the Laali's, we're HUGE fans! The next day she went skiing in the slopes of Utah and ended her evening with a party in a gorgeous cabin where Wyclef performed. People like Kristin Cavalleri were also there. On Sunday night, she was in bed at midnight and on the phone with me when she said, COME OUT HERE RO. I was like, I WISH!!! I tried. Believe me I looked into it but flights were expensive and I couldn't miss the first night of school. RARR!! At least, one LAALI is hav...

Big Bill Parcells is leaving us!

Image
I have been living in denial all season. Everyone had been speculating that either T.O. or Bill Parcells would leave Dallas. It was just brought to my attention by Neil that Bill Retired from coaching! Dang it!

Cute sweater alert

I've given up and the cold blast has outlasted me. I am now updating my closet with warmer attire. All i know is that it better not be hot this spring!! speaking of sweaters and stuff, check out this adorable piece by Juicy!

Another class down..

Last night I had my final in Eco 360. Business Economics was fun. I learned a lot about various market industries and how their trends correlate with one another. Good stuff. After our presentation and finals, a bunch of us from class headed over to Dave and Busters for drinks. There was about 8 of us and it was so much fun. We had huge BEERFEST size heffie's and before I knew it, I was buzzing like a bee. I was a tad bit hungover this morning but I'm alive, well and at work. When I got home last night, I did get to watch the first 30 minutes of Idol before passing out. I love the tryout episodes mostly because its fun to see people who think they can sing get rejected. I wish the parents/friends/siblings of these contestants would just tell them the truth.. "Honey, you can't sing". Neil and I love watching idol for one other reason and that's PAULA. We love to see her act weird. It's a sick interest but man, there was a few times in last night's progr...

Justin Concert Was OFF THE HOOK

Image
As most of you know, last night I went to see Justin Timberlake at the HP Pavilion in San Jose (aka The Shark Tank). Jenni and I got dropped off around 7pm and saw a line that started at the entrance of the arena with over 300 PEOPLE! It kinda sucked because it was freeezing last night but then again, I had a pea coat on. There were girls in Tanks and skirts. Good luck to them. They're probably home today with ammonia! Anyways, We got in a little later and headed to our seats. We sat in section 128, lower level and the view was perfect. The stage was setup right in the middle and it had 4 sides to it. Our section had a great overall view and we were about 20 rows up. Not bad JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Pink opened up for JT. She was surprisingly good and had a nice voice. Her dancing was off the hook and she sang all the songs I like. She also did some crazy cirque de soleil type tricks which were pretty awesome. I was excited to see her and all but deep down, I wanted JUSTIN. Th...

New Hobby Alert...

Image
Just recently I have gotten very interested in Scrapbooking. I used to do it a lot back before I had a mile high list of responsibilities on my plate but being that I am an avid photographer, I thought I should make some scrapbooks to display some of my pics. I'm excited about it and went and got tons of cute scrapbooking stuff to get started.. I bought a 20page album along with all kinds of doodads. This should be fun. Who knows, I started painting exactly around this time last year and haven't picked up a paint brush in five months. This time of year tends to be major hobby time. TV shows suck, the gym is good but you can't do it around the house and cooking.. well cooking is fun but when you only have yourself and one other mouth to feed it can only be so exciting. One of my friends from school actually teaches people how to make sweet ass cards and things for scrapbooks so I am definitely going to get some pointers from her tonight. Speaking of school, I have completed ...

Weekend Update

Image
What a weekend it's been. The first week of 2007 was decent. I can't say it was great because that would mean that my week would have had to have been flawless, which it wasn't. On Friday, I got another email from my freaking annoying ass neighbor: "There is a common courtesy law regarding noise, and it doesn't just apply after hours. I'm already in the process of filing complaints with both the board of directors and the police department. Leaving your dogs alone for extended periods of time in the cold out doors will result in you losing your animals." OH MY GOD. Just rereading that email again got me fired up. I dare him to report me. The cops would come to my house and say, who's closet full of clothes is this? And I'd say, MY DOGS!!! and to think, someone would think I neglect my poor pooches! Anywho, I'm over it now (sorta) and just have to move on. I know I never leave my dogs outside so I could careless what this nobody thinks. OK. Let...

Happy New Year

Image
Well it has been almost a year since I've left a post on my own blog. Talk about taking my time! I've been busy. as the holidays were winding down, there have been a lot going on and very little time to post. I spent the holidays visiting tons of family and friends and caught up with everyone. Its a great time to see how everyone's doing and wish everyone a wonderful xmas. I also sent out xmas cards to everyone with Rocco and Peezy starring on the cover. here's a lil peak in case you were interested: and as for NYE, New Years 2007 was a good one... Neil and I spent the day with our friends at the beach and then wrapped up 2006 with a 5 course dinner and relaxation with loved ones. Last year we partied it like rock stars this year we went the mellow route. Next year will be a wild one again, I'm sure of it. I spent new years eve pondering the forth coming years resolutions. I've decided the following list will be my 2007 List Of Resolutions: Go to bed before midn...
