Oscars, Wedding, Peezy Update and more....

Image
I have been very MIA lately, besides a few posts here and there I have yet to do anything worth noting. I spent most of this weekend working and also had the pleasure of getting a 92mph speeding ticket on 280 in a 65 mph zone as I headed to SF for work. Figures! I get a speeding ticket going to work on a Saturday! what gives!! I had no energy to try and level with the cop and I just took the ticket like a champ. I am scared to see how much its going to be. I feel like I am about to take a few hundred bucks and a lot of my time and flush them down the toilet. That's what I feel happens when you pay anything to the DMV. What a joke! I have been trying to get little moments of R&R with my fiance and doggies plus my family but it has been hard to be around people when I'm so tired. It'll all pass soon so I'm excited to get this project done and with high quality. Wedding Stuff: I'm off trying to now find bridesmaids dresses and also working on finalizing the wed...

I Love Guitar Hero. I especially love it the better I get. I think I rock and I was born to be a rockstar. You wanna join my band? Well I might be having try outs soon. Peace.

Best.Sunday.Ever...why? I'm relaxing!

Lately, my life has been rush rush rush. I don't mind it at all but it is so freaking amazing to have some days where you can enjoy the booty on the couch cushion. I woke up this morning, cleaned up a tad and made myself and Neil the most wonderful breakfast. I made eggs sunny-side up, hashbrowns, cut up fresh strawberries, had a couple of mini-bagels and topped it all off with some breakfast sides like creamcheese and spreads. mmmmmm. yum. I've been relaxing since, getting up only to take a bio break. Man, days like this are rare but are a definite treat. Lastnight, I went to Pedro's Mexican restaurant in Los Gatos, CA and joined my friends Alana and Scott, Stephanie and Sirk and Candice and her BF Scott for a b-day dinner for Candice. Ella, Alana and Scott's baby also got to go which made the evening even more fun! She's the cutest thing ever. Dinner was delicious and I was ready to come home afterwards because I had spent the day WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING!!!! ...

Lots of cool news...

Man o Man, its been ages since I last posted. Well first and foremost, I have set a wedding date!! woohoo!! The date is 4-4-09. Its a Saturday and its about 413 days from now which gives ya girl a ton of time to prepare for the special day. The wedding venue is pretty cool. Neil and I will be getting married in Pleasonton, CA in the Ruby Hills Winery. They are opening a new venue called CASA REAL and it is scheduled to be completed in April 08, exactly one year before my big day. The venue is really nice and it has everything that I wanted. Here are some pictures from my visit to the venue. My mom, dad and myself all took a Saturday morning visit to the venue and also got to enjoy a nice morning of wine tasting. Yahoo & Rhapsody = A new romance

From MSNmoney.com Web giant Yahoo said Monday it will stop running its online music subscription service and switch its customers over to Rhapsody America, a partnership between Seattle-based RealNetworks and MTV. (ALSO happens to be where i work. suh-weeet!) Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) said its Music Unlimited subscribers will be migrated to Rhapsody's digital music service in the coming months and will be able to maintain their existing pricing tiers for a limited time period. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Yahoo did not say how many people subscribe to its music subscription service. The deal marks a boost for Rhapsody America, a joint venture between RealNetworks Inc. (NASDAQ: RNWK) and MTV Networks, a unit of media giant Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA) Rhapsody offers subscriptions giving people access to unlimited amounts of online music. The service, however, is not compatible with Apple Inc.'s dominant iPod digital music player. The Yahoo-Rhapsody deal was announced after...

update 1: Neil's out of surgery

Its 11:30ish pm and Neil is out of surgery and laying here next to me. Today was a loooong day. It was nonetheless interesting. Neil and I checked into the hospital patient waiting area for about 30 minutes. Neil was then sent to pre-op and surprisingly I was allowed to go for the ride. Pre-op consisted of questions, some test analysis (i.e temp, heart rate) followed by the eval and good stuff from the anesthesiologist. The anesthesiologist seemed fairly young... in fact, everyone at UCSF is young and good looking I might add. What is this, Grey's Anatomy? Who's sleeping with who! Anyways, the anesthesiologist had a doo-rag on with chilli peppers. Automatically he was cool. He actually was one of the guys that started this non-profit called Orthojamaica . Check it out. Anyhoo, Neil got shot up and I walked him to the OR door and kissed him good-bye. I waited a LONG 5 hours before hearing anything BUT the doctor called and I was able to hear the news I wanted. Neil woke u...

Tough Road Ahead - Neil Parry's 31st Surgical Procedure

Image
As we embark on the 2nd month of 2008, February, Neil and I are embarking on another surgery for Neil which will be taking place today at approximately 2:00pm. Neil's leg has been bugging him and after 30 surgeries since his injury in 2001 , he has been living in constant pain which can take its toll on a person mentally, physically and emotionally. Thankfully after a year and half of research, doctor visits, referrals, test trials and a lot of ups and downs, he'll be having a new innovative procedure that will attempt to curb his pain once and for all. You see, when his initial injury occured, his bones came through the skin, severing alot of main nerves that run to his foot including one of the most important nerves in the body, the 'superficial peroneal nerve'.... And yes, the name of the nerve is pronounced like NEIL!!! Since the nerve is no longer connected to his big toe (duh he has no big toe), the nerves have been sending all kinds of wacked out signals to Nei...
