Baby Advice for Mama Ro

Image
During my lovely baby shower, my aunt Gina went around to the guests and had them fill out an adorable baby themed card with a WORD OF ADVICE for the mommy to be. The board, now filled completely, is in Baby Parry's room and I loved reading what everyone wrote on there. Some of the advice was actually something that I know I will use while others were just plain goofy. This will be something that I save and cherish forever and it will be fun when my son is old enough to read it with me and I can give it to him when he has kids!! Here are some of my favorites.. If you can't read them clearly, just click on the picture and a larger one will open up. The Board all filled up and in Junior's Nursery:

Whats been happening??

Good Evening Guys!! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I was busy doing stuff with my shower, the nursery and all of other life's exciting events. The shower I had my baby shower a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it was awesome. My family (Naazi, Mom, Jouvan, Naghmeh and Cousin Zari) really went above and beyond to throw me the ultimate baby shower. I got the most amazing gifts and all of them make the nursery for Baby Parry super special. I never thought having a baby shower would be so much fun but don't be fooled, it took a lot planning and work bringing it all together. The party theme was Lil' Cowboy and my aunt's yard was decorated in Red and White table settings and balloons, sunflowers, country decor and all the fixings for a perfect BBQ. The party began around 11am on Sunday July 20th and winded down about 9pm that night. The weather was perfect that day, not too hot and not too cold. All of my bestest friends and family gathered to celebrate the b...

Itty Bitty but oh so pretty!

Here's the latest ultrasound photo that we have of baby parry: I have about 11 weeks remaining until I meet him in the outside world but I am having lots of fun with him right now in my belly. I play "push you and push me back" with my belly and even try experiments eating different types of food to see which ones get him hopping around the most. Oh yeah, fun times !!

Congrats Carlos and Jeni!!

Our friends Carlos and Jeni welcomed Sienna Naomi into the world sunday July 20th, 2008. Both Mommy and Baby are doing well. Sienna entered the world at a cute 6lbs 8oz and 19 inches long. I cannot wait to meet her and wish the parents the best. They are both going to be great parents and I know their girl is going to be a perfect best bud for our soon-to-arrive baby :)

I love him

The start of my LAST (3rd) TRIMESTER

Image
This whole pregger thing has been pretty cool so far. I have had plenty of ups and downs and somehow your body learns to adjust itself to everything. I still cannot stop starting at my belly and still cannot believe I'm pregnant and will be having a beautiful baby boy in about 90 days. My life will forever change and I have never been more excited to welcome change into my life as I have been with Baby Parry. The first trimester was rough. I bet you can tell because I don't think I hardly posted anything on my site. I was super tired ALL the time, I was on the verge of barfing or actually barfing everyday and I was scared. The best way to explain what I was going through was that it felt like I was going through an outer body experience, just waiting to get back to my original self. To top things off, my RLS (restless leg syndrome) was OFF THE HOOK. It would kick in at about 9pm and I would just be in constant agony until I finally fell asleep. It sucked ass but serious...

Love my Nini

Image
Sometimes, when I least expect it, Neil does things for me that makes me thankful (all over again) for having him in my life. He came home the other day with this: I love my roses and since I am stuck at home this week with some pregger aches and pains they're very nice to look at.

Birthday Dinner

Image
This past weekend, a group of friend gathered together at Claim Jumpers restaurant to celebrate Scott's 28th bday. Following the dinner, everyone (but me and Nini) headed over to the Saddlerack for some country line dancing and bull riding. Alana planned the entire evening for her hubby and we even got to surprise him with a mud pie dessert. Scott was all shy as you can see in the pics but at least he got dessert! I was eying it the entire time! The food at claim jumpers was fairly decent. The prices are very reasonable and the menu has everything you can image in it. Here are some pictures from the dinner portion of the evening. Too bad I didn't get a chance to take pics of the bull riders :) All in all the evening was a lot of fun and it was nice seeing everyone. the dinner table the girls quadruple date night for more, click on slideshow .

Starbucks closing 600 stores in U.S.

Image
Wow. This is crazy news. Starbucks is closing another large set of stored (roughly 600) in the United States alone!! WOW. The economy must be REALLY jacked up. In fact, most of the new stores that you saw open up overnight around the nation will be mostly impacted. According to Starbucks, 70 percent of the stores to be closed were opened after the start of 2006. With this store closure, comes about 12,000 workers who will be out of a pretty darn good job. Starbucks is known for their great employee benefits and this is not good during an already crappy time. How much has starbucks been impacted by the economy? Well in their 2nd quarter alone, they saw a 28 percent as U.S. consumers cut back on visits in light of rising food and gas prices. That number is only to grow as gas prices don't seem to be slowing down and job loss is at an all time HIGH. Some things to think about: (1) Less coffee drinkers can cause more accidents. Sleepy drivers on the road. Not good. (2) Less starbucks...
