My Bob and its busted tire

I recently posted on here that I got a fabulous new stroller called the BOB REVOLUTION as one of my mothers day gifts. Unfortunately the stroller's front tire (the main one) busted and was flat as we arrived to our camping trip over the memorial day weekend. Neil and his Uncle Bill tried to pump it back up but it was only a mere hour until the tire was back to being flat. I was FRUSTRATED because  (1) I hate it when new things get jacked up (2) I was pissed because the stroller was made for tough terrain and here I was with a flat! (3) I wanted it fixed right then and there I was able to still use the stroller with a flat and we contacted BOB as soon as we got back into town.  To my surprise, the BOB customer service responded to my email within 24 hours and they simply asked for my address so that they could send me a new tire.  I was pleasantly surprised and was so happy that I didn't have to fight tooth and nail to get them to send me a new tire.  I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE...

Good Bye Nana...

Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows. -- Pope Paul VI-- This past memorial day weekend was a very somber and strange one. We headed up to Pinecrest lake on Friday to spend the weekend camping with Neil's side of the family. The weather was a perfect and cool 70 degrees and we were ready for an amazing weekend. That is until on Saturday morning we got word that Neil's amazing and beautiful Nana had passed early that morning in her sleep. The rest of the weekend was kind of a blur because no one could really believe it. We tried to spend the weekend as we were, camping, because we knew Nana would want nothing more. Everyone was together and it was sorta nice being able to spend time in the beauty of the mountains and reminisce about great memories we all had about Nana. Everyone was sorta scar...

My 1st Mothers Day - 2009

Image
For my first ever Mothers Day I was treated like a princess by my hubby and baby boy. I had my first gift given to me earlier that week. A brand new knife set that I desperately needed. Wow, new knives make SUCH A HUGE difference. I thought that was enough but I had a really fun day planned on Sunday... We woke up Mothers Day and made a run to starbucks to enjoy some much needed caffeine. We then piled into the car and headed over 280 towards halfmoon bay for brunch at a Miramar, a cozy little restaurant right on the water front. We had reservations and were seated right away. The restaurant LJ and I sitting at brunch. I loved everything about this day! My babe sitting across from us, making sure I enjoyed every minute of my Momma's day. Once we finished our food, we headed to the beach where we had LJ sit down on the sand to play with it for his FIRST time ever... He was pretty into it as you can see in these pics. The only downfall was that, as usual, Halfmoon Bay weather was su...

Happy 7 month old birthday LJ!!

Our little dude is 7 months old today. It is a VERY exciting day for us. We dont' have another doctor appointment coming up till his 9 month check up so things are just chuggin along. LJ is crawling backwards, trying to pull himself up with anything and everything, rolling around like he's a ball and just being such a sweet baby. We even have gotten him to sleep through the night, in his own crib for 3 nights in a row. Its pretty amazing and although I MISS HIM cuddling with me, I sleep better and he gets to cuddle with his monkey meymoon so they're fine. We also play him lots of cool CD's at night (courtesy of Rhapsody Music of course) and last night we played him Doobie Brothers. He loved it. I think putting him down to music has been our savior. I don't know what it is but having the fan on with music in his room makes him just comfy. here are some pictures of LJ from the past month... LJ with his best buddy Ella... at first he was all excited that they were sit...

Catch Up ... Girls Trip (+ Leonidus) to Los Angeles

Image
Finally, a new post with pictures :) Recently my mom, sister, LJ and I planned a little LA get together where we all went down to see Aunti Jo (my sister). It was a well planned event and also a FIRST for LJ since it was going to be his first time in an airport/airplane and LA! We headed down to Burbank on Friday and sadly returned on Sunday, saying goodbye to aunti after she played a wonderful host to her family. Below are some pictures from our great weekend. Here we are in front of our airplane. I was shocked that we actually got to take a picture like this! Aunti Jo planning something on her laptop for us to do... A nice group shot before we ventured out on a LONG and EXCRUCIATING yet AMAZING hike in the pacific palisades My mom, Leonidus and I during the early part of our hike... See we're still smiling. Please keep in mind this was the steepest hike ever, the terrain didn't allow for strollers (not even joggers) so we were left to carry our little dude (all 23lbs of him) ...

New Baby Stuff

Image
Little Dude ... or Big Dude as daddy would call him is growing FAST. It seemed like just yesterday I was pregnant and now our son is army crawling, teething, drinking juice, eating pureed veggies and has become his own character. WOW. With a growing baby you end up buying new and exciting baby stuff. We recently upgraded LJ's car seat since the infant seat was getting a tad bit snug on him. We purchased the Britax Boulevard CS (see pic below). Its the latest Britax car seat and its features are insane. How could we say no to safety? The features of the seat make it worth its sticker price. PLUS the weight limit goes to 65Lbs. So far we are happy with it. The CS stands for "Click Safe" and true to it's name the Click & Safe Harness Adjuster “clicks” when the harness straps are snug to help you know when you've safely secured your bundle of joy. For more details on the rest of the car seat features, click here . We also just started giving LJ a little itty bit o...
